@@jcjustin923 cool man, yeah I’ll make a video of the gear I use sometime in the near future! As far as how I keep my hand from freezing, I normally just use a thin fleece windproof glove. I’ve lived in a really cold climate my whole life so I don’t really get cold super easy. For those super cold days tho I’ll sometimes add a thicker heavier glove to my hands, but that’s about it.
Yes! I am considering a fly-camp trip myself this year, but maybe in warmer conditions. I have always wanted to do it, but not got round to getting the right gear (tent, sleeping bag, etc).
I thought we went over the micro stool in the last video lol Seeing you sitting on the ground or crouched looks cold. Give me your mailing address I am going to gift mail you a little ultralight stool myself haha Seriously though I love the videos, wish you were closer and I would join you. If you are ever going through Northern CA hit me up.
Haha I know! I kinda forgot about it to be honest. A stool would have been so nice on this trip! Thanks again for your feedback, always appreciate it. I will definitely let you know if I ever go through your area! Thanks again man! 😁
Killen it as usual. Absolutely loved this one. You need to get your channel out there more! Start posting these on the Facebook page! Hate to see all this effort and talent not recognized to its fullest. Keep it up homie
Thanks man I appreciate the suggestion! I will have to do that with some of my videos. I’ll share some of the best ones in the future to the Facebook pages. Thanks again for your support and feedback!
Great video, and edit as always. This is something that's on my list to do this year, I've never fly camped before. Question: you're not wearing a flying suit, what are you wearing on your legs? I'm guessing you have a layering system and I'm curious about that.
Thanks Mark!! No I don’t wear flight suits, I just wear a windproof down jacket and I always wear a windproof and waterproof pants. The brand I wear are called TrueWerks. They work amazing and I normally only have to wear a base layer under them if it’s below 25 degrees. I do t get cold very easily so I don’t normally wear much.
nice orange/greenbluish LUT on the whole video. amazing cam quality and angles. its a mystery how your channel have only 550 subs. i would love to see more night shots with camp fire. and a short question: if you take another passenger on the trike. does it matter alot where you attach the wing for center of gravity? or are there just 2 sets of carabiner and dont care about it too much?
Thanks man for the feedback, appreciate you. Yes it matters very much where the wing attaches to the the trike. That second set of carabiners are the tandem carabiners. If you hook into the wrong ones and try to fly, your center of gravity will be off so much so that either you’ll get a prop strike or the trike will rock forward onto the front wheel and loose control and/or flip
Colten, this adventure was my choice for this evening’s entertainment, and it did not disappoint. 🏆 It’s stunning to see the Kootenai River Valley from above; I kayak around here all summer and love that river bank. Your frosty sunrise shot was especially gorgeous! If you want a fly camping buddy on your next trike trip, I’ll cancel whatever I have on my calendar and join ya! 😉
Thanks buddy, I appreciate the feedback! Yeah I’d love to take you fly camping with me sometime! I’ll see if I can make that happen in the near future.
Hello Colten, I'm interested in the Trike trailer that you are using. My boyfriend and I are moving to a trike. We are purchasing a XENIT Fly products trike. May I ask you the name of the trailer and size of trailer. Thank You
Oh cool! Good for you guys, your gonna love the xenit trike! So that trailer is actually a custom trailer I built myself specifically for my trike. But the dimensions are 7’ wide and 8’ long.
Bro this is a great video. I follow all the popular people in this amazing sport, powered and not, you have some talent bro. I don't know why theres not 500 vids on here. We need more bro, send it 🕊️🕊️🕊️🌄
I really like the time you put in the video, the flying the camping and just chilling enjoying your time, especially like how you look for sand bars to land on, I do the same thing here in Alaska but it will be my first time using my trike and iv had this thing for 3 years and am finally going to use it, nice video and fly safe wing man.
As a trike flyer myself I enjoyed the adventure. Thanks for sharing. I had to chuckle with the 'clear prop' on takeoff as not a soul was near by or in site.
Wonderful video!!! Beautifully edited, camera angles were spot on. So glad I stumbled on your channel. I predict 10k subs in the next year. Keep up the great job! By the way, I just picked up a Xenit from One Up adventures. Love it!! What are those 2 ‘pods?’ On your instrument panel?
So motivating to hear that! Thanks my man! Congrats on the new Xenit trike! Your gonna love it!! Those things on my instrument panel are two swivel magnets, I use them to attach my phone to when I’m flying sometimes. I often will have a gps app pulled up on my phone when I’m flying cross country so it’s nice to be able to just have it mounted right there with my other instruments.
Nice vids mate. got my self a Vertigo. wondering how did you place the gopro on the cage? i tried and find my video shaky as... but yours looks rock solid. nice job
Thanks man! I used a handlebar GoPro mount and got some additional rubber grips to put around it before tightening it down. I also turn on hypersmooth on my GoPro and those two things combined does the trick! 😁
As a PPG pilot myself who’s feed is full of PPG content I’m surprised I am just now finding your channel. Probably the best and well put together fly camping video I’ve seen on YT. Awesome work! Looking foreword to diving into more of your vids.
Fly camping is one of the things that got me into paramotoring. I haven't done it yet but will one day for sure. Another work of art, keep up the good work man...
Without doubt - The best parameter/trike channel on YT.... Love the content & the production, all superb..... The use of these fascinating air vehicles in camping adventures really appeals to me... Thanks 🪂
Who’d like to see me do a video on what fly camping gear I use?!
I was actually going to request that you made a video of your gear. Curious how you keep your fingers from freezing!

I’ll make a video of it in the future, but as far as the trike goes, this is the fly products tandem xenit trike.
