When it comes to Ren, it's a generational question. If you're from that era then you know what Ren is capable of. No one should question Ren's ability. Ren is an emcee. Listen to his verse on Parental Discretion is Advised. That's a top-tier verse next to DOC's and Cubes's verse. Ren is a monster.

Ren was on the same level as Cube. I just vibe with Cube's style more. It's one of those subjective situations. I never really compared them to each other before. I just look at 'em all as 1 when they together.

Rens pen game was underrated and under appreciated. I don't feel NWA missed a beat lyrics wise when Cube left.

MC Ren is my personal favorite out the group. However, if we rated them by influence and catalogue, Ice Cube has the vast resume.
McRen held it down when Cube left the group and we all know that Cube had the voice that kinda made you pay attention to every word but McRen was just as important

Ren is dope with the pen. I think it’s because Ice Cube and Dr. Dre we’re both so successful afterwards that he doesn’t get the respect that he deserves. In all fairness anyone else in his position wouldn’t have been able to even do as good as he did. The fact that ice cube and Dr. Dre were able to succeed over and over again after pitfalls is why we remember them. But if you take away owning and running your own label, acting, and other business ventures, just as an MC, Ren is dope af.
Yes, really wished Ren and Willie D could’ve done some work together, both were super underrated for both their respective groups.

Ren definitely was my favorite in NWA
MC Ren is the most overlooked rapper in NWA. He was super tight as a lyricist. DOC, Cube and Ren had to compete to get their lyrics in a song. Ren seemed like a low key guy and he barely does interviews. He was like the silent ruthless gangster. That’s why he didn’t get the notoriety as the others. Of course that’s just my opinion.
