With the boy scouts, we used to cook outside with the iron pots hanging on a chain, above the fire connected to a tripod made of three strong wooden poles made of small trees solidly strung together with cords. Great times. Every time I see African traditional cooking it reminds me of the boy scouts camp. And it feels a bit like coming home. 😊 The boy scouts where founded by a British soldier Baden Powell in South Africa and I found out he passed his last years and died in Nyeri, Kenia. His grave is in sight of mount Kenya. My mother as a kid was with the girl scouts and she met his wife in person here in Europe.
