Dear Collette, I'm only two minutes in on your video. I'm 68 and have always lived in England, starting off in the east end of London. Both my nan's were Catholic and both my Grandad's I believe we're protestant but anyway I used to go to two churches. I can't remember collecting for black babies specifically but I remember having a great empathy for a black girl in my class of five year olds. She was the only black child in the school. She couldn't speak English but I made her my best friend and protected her throughout the time I was there. I don't know if we are just born as good souls, I believe most of us that follow you are. Thank you and all for the big difference you make in my life by being the Lights in the darkness ❤️
First time watching you. When you said "We don't have to live like cavemen" it made me smile and laugh out loud because it took me back to younger years when my mother was around. She would always tell us "Just because we are poor doesn't mean we don't have beauty." When I got my first place she helped me make it look beautiful. We used any and everything to bring beauty in and make it look nice. We got things for free, reused blankets and sheets for curtains, went to yard sales and got things, took hand me downs from friends and family, and even picked things out of the trash and re-did them to make them look nice. Thank you for your video and for the beauty you see in things.

Wow, you did it again. That gravel is so heavy, I can relate. All I did was a 15ft x 3ft walkway and it took me forever. I wish they would deliver the gravel in bags as they did to your property. Here in USA they came and dumped it in my driveway. oh well, Igotover it. You are just amazing and an insperation, thank you.
Colette, your hard work paid off. You made all the flowering plants stand out and show there colors. And, all your rock plant beds stand out as well. It is very hard work, but you can sit out with your coffee in the morning and enjoy your lovely and peaceful place.
Dear Colette, I don't often comment but I just wanted to say thank you for the comfort you have given me over these past years. I unfortunately suffered an adverse reaction from my 1st maxine (we have to be careful what we say these days!) 18 months ago and had trouble walking, neuropathy, POTS and so much more that has finally been confirmed to be caused by that and not Covid since I never had it by a government hospital in Germany after in depth testing. Before Covid I was a full time touring singer songwriter and haven't been able to work for most of this time but slowly getting back into doing some smaller shows and taking my health back. After my experience my eyes have been opened and I am receiving help from a naturopath and even had a herbal consultation with Terri (Danu's Irish Herb Garden) today who I have become friends with. Those of us who were injured have been left alone to deal with our health issues so I am taking a much more hands on approach with my healing now and learning from other wiser people. Your videos and the beautiful retreat you created with mother nature definitely helps calm my nervous system down and brings me peace. Thank you 🙏 and lots of love from the Yorkshire Dales ❤
Dear Emaline, I am reaching out to you with my arms, my heart, and my hands to hold you and your well-being in love. I see your pain and your struggle and you will find your health again, body… mind … and soul. Keep going … searching for the right people that can help you You are not alone. ☮️🌹🌹 Peace to you dear heart.
I am sorry to hear of your ill health. I had a reaction to a different Maxine years ago that is similar to what you are describing. I encourage you to look into Guillain Barre syndrome if you have not already. May you heal quickly and completely. Have a wonderful weekend.
Recommend youtube channel Long Story Short by Dr. Mobeen. I have tried some of these measures for maxine injury & long covid & they have helped in quite a miraculous way after being ill for 2 1/2 yrs.
Hello from Sweden! I love that chest Colette, and how practical it is, just shovling down all "clutter" in it .... You are a wealthy woman having all this plants to take cuttings from, and your garden is getting more and more beautifulthe further in Spring we come.... I love when spring is here when you can put all your washing out to dry... I love the smell of nature on the sheets when changing them on the bed... Hi Colette your garden looks so amazing and your cottage looks very wonderful, relaxing and very comforting and evrerytime I watch your videos I get that lovely warming feeling and your garden is so relaxing I wish I could live in western Ireland it looks so beautiful and your videos really helps me relax and helps with my depression it's like a natural healer I take deep breathes and watch and listen to your videos and it refreshing my mind and soul and I really love your wind chime that sounds so relaxing, blessings to you.
Everything looks so nice. A lot of hard work, but very satisfying and enjoyable. You have a little haven away from the hectic world. The bird songs sound spectacular. I love the sound of your footsteps on the gravel. Looks like you are finding some peaceful healing, aside from your good hard work's aches and pains. I am so inspired to get going outside with my projects. As always, thank you for sharing a glimpse of your life with us. You are quite kind.
It all looks so lovely. The shower room is gorgeous. Better than a normal white clinical bathroom . Love the wash stand . You are a credit to us all In this upside down world.
What a beautiful peaceful place.I hope someday I can do the same. This world is so changed and society is just evil. Love your videos.❤ Thank you so much for your positive vibe.
Hi Collette, I sense a lifting of your spirits - either all the hard work you put in with the gravel or just time away from the media. Your work has paid off the front of your home looks refreshed and invigorated plus no one can sneak up on you with the gravel. 😁xxx
I absolutely think you are the most remarkable protector of our Mother Earth, I would love to do what you are doing but of course on a very very small scale, about an acre is what I have. I know you don't answer comments but I would like to know how to get started doing a permaculture surroundings. You're very informative and easy to watch, keep up the amazing work. I'm so impressed with your ability to move all that gravel, we are the same age, hope for me still, LoL 😆.
The garden looks beautiful Colette. It must be at least as relaxing to sit in as it is for me to see and to hear. The lovely sounds of the wind , birdsong, the creaking verandah and the scrunching of the gravel. I am currently stuck inside due to a chest infection and much prefer being outdoors, so your garden and voice are a perfect antidote to my cabin fever. Thank you for sharing your story and garden with us. Blessings and kindness from Newark on Trent.
What a wonderful way to sympathetically treat an outside space as the gravel allows mother nature the opportunity of breaking through and softening the effect yet is practical for providing a dryer surface. It looks great with all the plant life around and in it. I too love physical tasks outside; Very cold and wet in the Welsh valleys yet last night I was down on my allotment at dusk after a couple of hours of heavy work and the feeling of a task accomplished and being at one with the natural world as darkness fell was wonderful. Looks good your property won't be so messy when it rains to do your puttering. I'm almost 50 & am in the same boat with soreness from moving my sisters furniture this past weekend :/.
Dear Colette, It looks so pure and bright. Your selection is perfect, the birds are expressing their "approval". When everything blooms I would love to be there with you to share your smile and contagious laughter. Stay happy, thank you for all the good things I feel when I connect to you via your videos. Later to you my friend. Sincerely, Joyce (aka-Jersey Ann from NJ USA)
What a beautiful space you have created! Your peaceful pagoda with your Buddha adds so much to your garden. I love gravel too. I have a side yard with three 40 ft pine trees and I covered the whole area with gravel over 30 years ago and I love it, only replenished it once and the even the sound of the walking on gravel is wonderful, along with all the singing birds.
Your videos are so meditative. I always feel like my senses are engaged while I listen to the songs of birds, footsteps crunching on gravel, the sun warming the rooftop. So peaceful.
I wish you could have seen my face after you showed the first coat of paint on the Buddha statue 😮 it looks so lovely sitting by the pagoda! You make me smile, thank you ❤
Golden Buddha in the wheelbarrow! 😂😂I don't know why I found this so funny, but what a laugh you've given me! Thank you, Colette! I needed that! He looks wonderful in gold with the new gravel. Very Zen indeed!
Dear Colette, such beauty exists at Bealtaine cottage. I want to express my gratitude to you for your creations,, for sharing your walks, Bealtaine and your wisdom. Your endless style, creativity and energy is inspiring. Sometimes it is too easy to allow any drifting dark energy to weigh one down (not you, by the way). Then I look at nature, watch one of your videos, turn off the news, and feel so much better. ❤
Buddha looks fantastic Colette, and I was also born in 1955 and remember those little booklets of black babies given out at school which I had totally forgotten about. Please, please keep up your youtube postings as they are a lifeline for me, you inspire me and I learn so much from you. Your cottage and beautiful woodland are now as familiar as my own. It's all looking pretty wonderful after your hard graft. Very best wishes.
Dear Collette, I love how you enjoy the simple things as I do. I've had a hard time returning to your lovely videos after the passing of my canary. She acted differently to your videos than any others. When she heard the birds singing at your cottage, she was thrilled! She knew what they were saying and whatever it was made her very happy! Sometimes, it made me a little sad for her. As I watched today, I couldn't help but think of her and hope she is there with you all at your cottage now. I know she is happy there.💛
I'm so sorry Terrie. Losing a beloved pet is VERY difficult. "Grief is the price of Love". I lost my only 2 beloved pets within the last few months, from serious illness. The vet did all she could. Extremely lonely and empty, at my house now. Whenever your lovely little canary girl is now---I am sure she is singing with JOY ♥
Hello Colette shower room looks great like the colors you picked. Outside looks amazing and I really like the Golden Buddha. That's a great place for it. Hugs and love ❤️
The pale gravel really brightens it up (in a similar way to fresh snowfall) and the golden Buddha looks like he belongs in that spot! I'm really looking forward to hearing your news - hope we're not kept in suspense for long!! Thanks my lovely 😍
Collette,my dear, it is absolute loveliness!! I just love how that gravel pulls it all together!! I just adore your beautiful garden, your gift to our beautiful Earth Mother!!💖💖💖💖
I have followed you for years and you should be very proud of your work. Thank you for the comfort of your voice and your sane thoughts about the world in general. I share them.

Golden Buddha looks right at home and the loo looks great! I need some gravel of that consistency and admire your work on spreading it. Everything is just lovely and welcoming! Thanks for sharing!
Kedves Colette! Évek óta figyelemmel kísérem a videóidat, csodálatos amit teszel a nyugalom ami belőled árad és a gyönyörű környezet amit létre hoztál. Mélyponton voltam amikor rátaláltam a videóidra. sokat segített, hálás vagyok neked! Jó egészséget kívánok, hogy továbbra is meglephess minket valami csodával! 🤗💚
Absolutely beautiful, Colette. Glad to see you pace yourself in between all that hard work. I mean you work & take a breather with a cuppa’ coffee > rest your body before carrying on. 👍 Everything looks amazing! Blessings. 🤗
How lovely the newly gravelled paths are! Well worth all your very hard work. Love the new 'pergoda', and it's lovely to hear the birdsong in today's video; the harbingers of spring.
Hi Colette, Your Buddha looks gorgeous, really stands out! I see you are spreading the gravel around, it will look great! Don't work too hard though! Blessings ❤️
What a difference all of that lovely gravel has made. I love to watch your videos in the morning here in Australia, as they help me to start my day with a brighter mind set that sees me through the day. I’m more than grateful for you and your UA-cam videos Collette xx
I have visited the Golden Buddha on Lantau Island Hong Kong and seeing this one brought back memories of when my daughter lived in Hong Kong and we spent a day on the island with my grandchildren who are now in their twenties. Beautiful Colette👏
Wowsers😊 Your garden is really evolving- soon it will be lush & green & dripping with roses and even more beauty! May you and your family have lots of spring & summer joy together- what a setting for family memories.
Good morning here in the USA Virginia 🙏 I understand, we have to pause and don't feed into the negativity. Sending 🤗💖 as soon was telling my son this am, since we are from USA NH. Here in VA we have neighbors, but they aren't neighborly. We just stay on our own side. They are quite and 👃 y 😂 every lots refreshed and lovely!
The gravel connects everything , very pleasing color too . It makes the trees and plants stand out more and contribute to the peaceculness of the garden. But I know it's hard work ...gives the bones a rest and enjoy the coffee Excuse my English , it's not my native language . Peacefulness is the right word
It’s just lovely at your paradise ❤blessings

Buddha looks amazing xxx
I’m amazed at the amount of work you put out….and truly amazed at the beauty you’ve crafted. It really looks so inviting.
It seems that the "richer" we become in the generally accepted sense the poorer we can become in our souls. Thankyou Colette for sharing your space which adds so richly to my day as you allow us to share it with you.
That’s what I love ❤️ about gravel!
The pagoda looks so fabulous. Have a blessed day my dear friend 💖 🌟
Thank you! You too!

I was surprised today to see a video from you and I am glad!! Thank you for coming back to us.

I agree, the sounds of the gravel crunching under your feet along with the variety of bird chirps is wonderful and it looks great!
Your videos are so meditative. I always feel like my senses are engaged while I listen to the songs of birds, footsteps crunching on gravel, the sun warming the rooftop. So peaceful.
Love that!
You have given many of us a lot of joy as we watch your house and garden develop. Thanks for sharing all your creativity.

Buddha looks good and is in the perfect spot now. Your shower room is all bright and spring fresh. You amaze me with all of your accomplishments.

Wherever I look in your garden, I can see how loved it is and how beautifully tended.
The gravel connects everything , very pleasing color too .
It makes the trees and plants stand out more and contribute to the peaceculness of the garden.
But I know it's hard work ...gives the bones a rest and enjoy the coffee
Excuse my English , it's not my native language .
Peacefulness is the right word
It all looks delightful and I love the bathroom
