Here's a super late post (sorry class!) of my Nov 2017 Uke class performing Island Style. Please like and comment and give the class some love! In this class, we worked on group vocals and vocal harmonies.

Wow, this seems long ago! Cynthia used this song in this class to teach vocal harmonies.

Hi, Francie! All of our 2018 holiday gigs were in SF but we probably saw you at Cynthia and Lenny's Holiday Uke Jam at Freight & Salvage in Berkeley.

More Ukes in Marin: there is a Kanikapila every other Thursday in San Rafael (location TBD) and Novato's Ukulele Homemade Jams every Tuesday evening at Sam's Restaurant.
@@alohaukesquad Oh yay! I'll try to get to the Marin FM in June. I have Hawaiian Dance lessons on both Thurs. and Sun, but Sun. doesn't start until 1250, so that may be the better time for me. Very excited! I'll also check out Sam's Restaurant for time. Mahalo!🌺

I don't know where to request this, but I would love for you and Lenny to record a play along for this song or Hawaiian Sup'pa Man (easy key). So many teachers are switching from wind instruments to uke bc we can't do wind instruments at school these days. You and Lenny are life savers. Thank you for your materials. Just love the song Cynthia Lin! I understand that the strum pattern for this song is DDUU-DDUU but to me it sounds like the island strum DDUU-DU? Can anybody help me! PLEASE
