The idea of Batman freeing Robocop from OCP's control would DEFINITELY help the people of Old Detroit. Directive 4 is one of the hindrances that kept the namesake cyborg from truly doing his job, since the corruption within OCP was quite apparent. Another hindrance correlates to the limitations OCP placed on Robocop's programming. Only one in the company that seemed SOMEWHAT decent was Bob Morton, since he was the architect of the Robocop program. Too bad he got blown up by Clarence Boddicker, who was acting on orders from Dick Jones. A freed Robocop would be OCP's worst nightmare made real, as highlighted in his Arcade Ladder ending of MK11.
