To prevent the pages from tearing and flying away so easily, reducing the effectiveness of your weapon, I recommend rolling the newspaper starting from the pages, not from the edge, in this way the pages will be inside the "tube", and the the sharpest and most resistant part (the edge) will be external, ready to cause more damage on impact.
