The only thing I can think of is he made sure there was enough black cards at the start of the deck. So the user picks black no matter what at the start. Then he proceeds to do manipulation to prevent him from picking any red cards.
I’ve been working on something like this for over thirty years and he blew up my spaceship when he passed me in his spaceship. There’s no catching up now. Unbelievable.
