Sorry for inconsistency with the sound of the voice. The microphones had various problems so I ended up using 3 different ones to record this (just pretend you hear 3 people speak here:))
I really appreciate the work put into these videos. I know it is not possible to do anything more than really quick runthrough and mention the important titles in the limited time. But I am grateful noneless for great tips for movies I have never heard of.
Fun fact the world's first ever feature length animated film before disney was El Apostol in argentina but it was lost in a fire in 1920s Only some newspaper report and some character cutout had surface
Oh yeah, fun fact: Birdboy The Forgotten Children was made here! not only that, the director of the same film making the new one that will release this year is called: Unicorn Wars!
I'm loving this series so far. You've introduced me to quite a few movies to check out (Asterix series for example) and I look forward to seeing what else you can introduce us to. In particular for this video, I never realized that the animation for Klaus was done in Spain. I just knew that some former Disney animators worked on the project, and the fact that the movie looked as good as it did really made me yearn for those days again. I look forward to your next video, and to our next step in embracing traditional animation.
I take it this is a bit of a "passion project" for you? Considering the views of one of these compared to the short animations, wich can garner over 1 million views, these long and presumably research heavy pieces usually gets around a 150 k. Not to claim that's a poor result, but it doesn't come off as a revenue based production decision at least. Nevertheless having watched a few of these I'd say that while, as you noted, your voice is a tad say monotone, I certainly appreciate the easily accessible informational content, and it works well as both video or primarily audio content, wich is usually my preferred method, since then I can do other required tasks in the meantime. Can't say your short animations is particularly my taste, but these? I find them really quite interesting. Either way, kudos to you for these and I look forward to seeing what nation or country you may cover in the future if you decide to do so. Cheers.
And I was expecting for you to mix up Portugal as a part of Spain, but you didn't. Just for that, you get my seal of approval. xP Anyway, could you try to make a video about Portuguese Animation? I don't think there's much on that topic, but maybe you could find something interesting.
I went to search for all kinds of obscure animations around the world. I have seen obscure animations in Czech but the most popular animation from that country is "The little mole" (I'm NOT here for dirty content btw)

What you do in your channel here on UA-cam, is something similar to a TV show from Argentina, which lasted from 1990 to 2008, called "Caloi en su tinta", Caloi was an expert in graphic humor, he was a cartoonist, animator and had a unique charisma to present his program, he presented animations from various parts of the world, explaining the different techniques that existed, this show needs its own video.
@@luciomagno1167 Cuando hable de Argentina, va a tener que hablar de Quirino Cristiani, Quino, Caloi, Fontanarrosa, García Ferré, Dante Quinterno, etc.
Happy to see some appreciation for Katy La Oruga on the list, at least on the Mexican side, it was part of the movies we had in the late 80's. unfortunately for me i cant play that movie anymore because it was recorded in betamax. despite the mexican gov propaganda to hate spain (and US) it's nice to see collaborations and good relationships between the two countries.
Really the hispanic countries could still shine so well together with that same amount of efforth and passion. I still to this day feel alienated with the passive-agressive attitude from my country towards Spain, since the latter gave us part of our culture but eh, is a mess that I hope improves in the future.
I remember watching the World of David the Gnome and its special many times as a kid, they were classics. Klaus was a very funny and heartwarming movie, I wish it won an Oscar.
When i was looking for Anton’s i searched only Anton and Anton’s didnt come up and i was like OH NO HE WAS CANCELLED but then i added severtnik and i was like Thank god
Hello, I don't know if you're still reading comments on this video (mainly because it's 9 months old haha) but it'd be cool if you would take a look at Canadian animation history!
@Antoons Can you please tell me what's the title of that funny European animated movie about the rivalry between God and Lucifer? I can't find it anymore.
I really want to see you do an animated video where the Nicktoons (old and new) are trying to help Ren & Stimpy recover from their tragic history. As well as a bit of a moral About always having to remember the past to learn from our mistakes
Based Estonian youtuber love you from your brother Latvian 🇪🇪🇪🇪🇪🇪💞💞💞🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻 westerns and American who said you homophobic or anti animated youtubers can go cry
I want to see one on other countries most likely Hungary or other countries . Something about Istvan majoros an Hungarian animator who worked on mighty mouse and Simpsons and etc.

You know, I believe that you did a lot of deathbed videos lately. And I miraculously thought maybe you could do one for Twilight Sparkle (from M.L.P friendship is magic) featuring Goliath the gargoyle. I'm just making an offer for you.
@Antoons I’ve taken interest in wanting to watch your video about cartoons you consider underrated and wanted to recommend but I can’t access it because of copyright reasons. Could you provide me an alternate link to that video?
AndresKat: Excellent your video as we are the Mexicans we speak Spanish is traditional and We Latin Americans speak Spanish or Brazil also speaks Portuguese. I want you to do a favor by uploading your video of "History of Countries Animation": Latin American cartoons. Do you know how to say goodbye "Bye" in spanish it is "Hasta La Vista" Saludos desde México 🇲🇽
Still polish animation waiting, like for example: Bolek and Lolek, Tytus Romek and Atomek, Koziołek Matołek, karypel, Studio filmów rysunkowych w Bielsku-białej itd.
Klaus is a masterpiece and nothing can change my mind on that. It's just so beautifully animated.
Wish people did more traditionally animated films...
Either Argentinian, Mexican, Brazilian or Canadian next.
