Did this to mine and gravel driveway shattered gray pvc pipe 1st time I used it. Black gas pipe would be a better choice but have to slit pipe with angle grinder. Also mine I had to put a 3/4" wooden dowel on inside of pvc pipe to keep it rotated away from auger to avoid auger hitting pipe.
That's why I won't clear yards that I'm not familiar with. Ya never know what kind of crap people will leave in their yards and don't clean it up before the snow falls. The first thing I do when it first starts to snow here, is go out and pick up any branches that may have fallen from the trees or large rocks in the driveway. Rocks can really do some damage.
Last time i have 32” wet heavy snow. First thing is hand shovel path. Then cut 1/4. Like i have 38” wide. So i cut like 10” wide. Lot easier but more time
Wow.. Where do you live?? You dont get much snow there..you must only have 6 - 8 ". We get up to 24 inchs in a snow storm and traffic is a bit slower but we still all get to work on time. Just leave 15 mins early. I have a 2018 D- series John Deer & JD 4ft. Snow blower.. I love it. You have a good one there too. Looks like you have hydraulic lift, mine is on the handle a pull up and lock. Wish mine had hydraulic like yours. Great video.
Last winter I only ran the plow twice and I only did it cause I was bored, 4 years ago the snow was so deep that my dogs could almost step over the 6 foot kennel fence. I’m REALLY hoping for more tractor time this winter. New pvc edges on the plow and blower, fingers crossed. 🍻🍻👍👍👍
Yes it’s friction fit. Cut it short of the the sides and then drive it on as far as it’ll go, just don’t do it if it’s too cold cause the pvc doesn’t like to stretch in the cold.👍👍👍🍻🍻🍻🍻
The 230lbs plus my fat ass comment had me rolling.
So you shovel your grass and leave the driveway?
I love how you tell it like it is 🤣

@@116falconer I am going to try the PVC on mine this year.. Keep up the good work and post more videos.. Great job, cheers from New Brunswick Canada.
I see New York license plates on a car. Somewhere upstate ?
WNY just above Erie pa.
Hardly what I call hammered
Nice!
Does the snow provide enough lubrication, to prevent a lot of wear on the PCV?
It's a dollar a foot who cares if it wears down
Been using it for years
To call the amount of snow hammered you need to move further North I 35 in last week
This could have been a lot more useful video if you actually show the work of attaching the pvc
How did you attach it to the blower? Friction? I’ve seen videos where they took the side off

The metal or pvc itself being to cold?
@@jimbauer5560 the pvc👍👍
If u have 2’ snow. Cut it 1/3 of height since 12” propeller not nuff to eat to throw up. Wet pack and ice not work with pvc
Most common are 12” propeller. But some are 14” propeller with powerful motor
We had 39 inches of snow overnight in Pa this last December 17th and still didnt have a travel ban..... lol
Yes, you read that right. 39 inches. Overnight... First time since 1993.
That’s the kind of snow I like 👍
Kind of defeats the purpose of having a scraper blade to cut down to the concrete though doesn't it? On hard packed snow it would just ride up over.
Thats the point, use pipe the first few snowfalls to get a nice thick layer, then take the pipe off and scrape for the remainder season
It act like ski going up
All your cleaning has nothing to do with the pvc edges.
Wont work that way
