    This looks kind of awesome haha. We both have super small hands so not a problem for us.

    This was a great review, very professional.
    The Zero seems to be the best "mini" controller of the bunch. I'm worried about cramps, but I guess it's to be expected.

      Just depends how long you play. A few minutes here and there should be fine.

    You have convinced me to buy 2 units. Now I just need a kick stand for my phone! Plan to play lots of GB, GBC and GBA emulator games on my phone!

    Came here looking for a comparison between the Zero and the Zero 2, but apparently they're basically identical except for their colours and firmware.
    I just wish 8bitdo controllers would add a little menu/home button, even the classic controllers they're trying to replicate the original look of. Also, with the length of the Zero and Zero 2's L and R buttons, I feel like they allllllllmost could have split them into usable L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons. The Zero 2 would be perfect for its size if it just had a home/menu button and maybe divided the two shoulder buttons into four. I was hesitant because I'm not a fan of face buttons with the letters/symbols engraved rather than printed on, but the detail (and controller) are so small that you can't even feel them. The face buttons and d-pad are... some of the best buttons I have ever used to be honest, better than most Nintendo d-pads and face buttons.
    I've been mostly using mine to emulate PS1 titles on my Galaxy Tab A7 lite, I am amazed how well games like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and Bloody Roar 2 not only play on the cheap tablet, but how great the 8bitdo Zero 2 controller is in playing these games. I genuinely can't go back to using the original PS1 controller with PS1 games now.

      Also, while holding the Zero/Zero 2, I recommend resting the tips of your index and middle fingers on the back of it rather than curling your index fingers behind it. It's so light that your index and middle finger tips are just there to level it, not actually hold it. No part of your palms should be touching the Zero/Zero 2.
      Press the tip of your index finger and thumb together on each hand, then half curl the rest of your fingers until they're beside your index finger, pressing against their own invisible thumbs. Press the back of your nails/end knuckles along your eight fingers together, aligned, as if you're making a heart shape with your hands for a photo but with your palms/wrists not touching each other. The Zero/Zero 2 goes between your thumbs and index finger tips. You can either hold the controller up or rest the back of your hands on your lap/a table top (only your pinky fingers' knuckles should touch the surface if your hands are resting).
      Try to hold your hands as if you're reading a tiny novel, don't try to cup your hands as if you're about to hit a volleyball.

    is it possible to emulate a mouse pointer using this controller? or even just tapping on the screen

    • @GeekTherapyRadio
      @GeekTherapyRadio 4 роки тому +1

      I've never tried. Perhaps there is some 3rd party software or an app that can program D-Pad movement to the mouse pointer.

      Krak Rex Not sure about on Switch (haven’t tested) but surely on an emulator. Just gotta map movement to D-Pad.

      @@GeekTherapyRadio I'm surprised how well it fits in my hands since I have mediem sized hands.
      It feels surprisingly decent for PSP emulation and some Switch games such as Sonic Mania and Cuphead.
