    I'm so glad I watched this! I absolutely love the extended hinge. I'm doing that from now on -- so thank you for such a great explanation ♥ The cover is so neatly done and sooo cute!

      Awesome! I'm so glad I was helpful. Here's another helpful tip, if you add more dimensional elements for decoration on your pages, you may want to go from a 1/4" extended hinge to 1/2". I didn't have that much so I opted for 1/4". Happy crafting!

    What brand paper are you using please?

    • @JacqsScraps
      @JacqsScraps  Рік тому

      The paper collection was Boho Baby by Simple Stories. The original album used Let's Go Camping by Echo Park. The cardstock was from Country Craft Creations either their Artisan brand or My Colors Cardstock by My Minds Eye.

    In the spine thing..why score half inch the quarter inch instead of just 3/4 of an inch?..to lay flatter? How does that work? Oh well ill wait... shouldnt u also use glue not just tape?

    • @JacqsScraps
      @JacqsScraps  3 місяці тому

      The half inch (hinge) gets glued to your album cover. The 1/4" doesn't get glued down and provides extra space so when you turn your page it will lay flatter than if you didn't use the 1/4". Gluing can be a personal preference. So, however you like to glue things down (tape + wet glue or just tape or just wet glue) do what feels right for you. This is just how I prefer to do it. I've never had any bad results by just using tape. Hope all this helps. TFW!

    Why is this album only have 8 pages. So few pages for an moderate size. How to add more pages?

    • @JacqsScraps
      @JacqsScraps  9 місяців тому

      Thank you for watching my video. This album holds more than 45 photos and has a 2-inch spine. This is the design that I wanted to make to work with the interactive elements. You may need to look for a different design by someone else to create an album with more pages. If you want to use my design and add more pages, you will need to increase the spine and hinge sizes. Here are my quick measurements for adding more pages - may want to double-check. Add 3/8" to the spine for every page you wish to add. This will change the spine chipboard size as well as the outside and inside spine cardstock covers. You will also need to increase the hinge 1 7/8" for each new page (1" hinge to add each new page, 3/8" for space before and after the page and (2) 1/4" extra hinge). I have a full tutorial walking through the creation of this album which would assist if you wish to make it larger, as I will not be creating a larger version. Happy crafting!

      Hi Ms Jacq. Am glad u took the time to reply me. I’ved already done to cover & stick them on. So you are saying the 8 pages can hold 45 pcs of photos? If so then it’s good enough. I was thinking whether it’s possible to add hinges frm the side of the existing 1. 😅

    • @JacqsScraps
      @JacqsScraps  9 місяців тому +1

      @@juntan5791 It will actually hold more than 45 photos. I recounted and found that 65 photos plus will fit into the album. If you haven't attached the hinge yet you could add on to the existing one. Just over lap the two ends and score like the original hinge. If you want to add a page in between the existing pages. You could but then there would not be much room once all the photos are added. So, I would not recommend it. Hope that helps.
