From the sound of it you're a Californian. Check out the High Sierra Loop in Yosemite. About 51-53 miles depending on how you slice it with similar elevation profile (~10k ft). Stunningly beautiful with camps spread out along the course for water etc. Congrats on the 50 miler!

The bigger issue for me were the mountains. That's what I was thinking about. Keep in mind that during ultra races you can slow down a lot during certain parts if you want. When I was going uphill I'd usually slow down a lot, that's what the experienced ultra runners told me to do. You can slow down and speed up as needed, it's just up to you when you do that. I also had a lot of electrolyte drinks and some other stuff that helped me keep going. I thought running 50 miles seemed impossible too until I did it. I decided to enter the race because I knew it was impossible but I was just thinking what if I could somehow get it done
I ran a 10k in July this year after 5 weeks of training and trained on and off a bit over the next few months after that but I kept getting strained so I pretty much went into the 50 mile race untrained
There should be a card ban system where each player can ban 1-2 cards (which aren’t cycle cards or else nobody would be in the lobby) before hopping on ladder

It showed in the photo I put up on screen. Near 14 hours. It may sound slow but considering the 10000 feet of elevation gain it was actually quite good and for an untrained rookie pretty much unheard of. Running uphill makes you go so much slower than running on a flat surface
The experience was enjoyable. Pushing myself to my limits and then going over 3x farther than that. The people I met were amazing too. What I learned about myself was astounding. You learn a lot about yourself when you put yourself in a situation like that with no way out. Pain is just a feeling, nothing could stop me from getting it done.
