The Story of Joshua Blahy, Liberian Cannibal Warlord Who Fought Naked

The story of Joshua Milton Blahyi, nicknamed General Butt Naked, can be likened to that of the biblical Saul who met Jesus on his way to Damascus. Born in the Liberian capital of Monrovia to a Krahn family, Blahyi was handed by his father to several tribal elders who initiated him as a pagan high priest in 1982 at the age of eleven.
He then grew from a pagan priest to becoming one of the most feared and evil warlords during the Liberian civil war, fighting naked and making human sacrifices.
But, in a radical transformation akin to that of Saul on the road to Damascus, Joshua encountered Jesus Christ.
He is now an Evangelical preacher, writer and a reformer of lives.

I know Joshua. I stayed at his compound for a week. I consider him a brother. He take young people off of the streets of Monrovia and detoxes them off of drugs. He then teaches them things like construction and carpentry and he centers it around Jesus.
