Michael and Melinda restored my childhood snowspeeder. I thought I would just donate it to them but they fixed it and sent it back. I am grateful to them.

The back and forth between Michael and Dan when looking through the toy stalls is so much fun to listen to - both clearly knowledgeable collectors enjoying each other's company. Great fun. :)

Mike talking about what you're into and when you were born is spot on. I'll often ask people what cartoons they were into as a kid, and instantly I know within 1-2 years, how old they are.

I have never seen any food fighters in the wild, atleast since I was a kid. I have a food related toy shelf at my deli so I have been looking pretty hard for decent paint on them

Every summer I take my family to Godzilla Fest in Chicago and the Dealer's Room is one of the highlights for us as well, the thrill of the hunt, meeting up with dealer friends we've seen for over a decade now, the excitement of stumbling on that random amazing piece of plastic or vinyl, or finding some WEIRD stuff tucked away in a corner.....it's an addiction, and these videos especially make me smile, Dan. I hope you're toy hunting even when your son is pushing you around in a hover chair.

Oh Pixel Man! Towards the end of the video I saw you pan over some silverhawks toys and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was searching for a small red hawk maybe an eagle for well over a couple of decades. I didn’t know what toy line it belonged to exactly. All I knew was it has wings that would sweep forward and was a dark red. I traded my best friend growing up when I was five years old for a Simpsons wallet. I loved the toy but our parents found out what we did and made us trade it back. I’ve always wanted to find the toy again when I started collecting. After seeing the end of your video I searched eBay and found it was the airshock accessory to one of the figures. I can finally be reunited with a toy from my childhood. Thank you sir.

Okay I just watched this video again and I totally would watch a series of Pixel Dan and Michael French walking around buying toys at a toy show.
Yesss! More YT crossovers! First, with the Game Chasers a.k.a Toy Chasers. Next , the Mad Hunter a.k.a Rodrigo. Then, Toy Galaxy with Dan Larson and fellow Graig. And now, Retroblasting featuring Michael French! What a blast!! (Pun intended) The coolest about all these crossovers is that they are all my favorite toy UA-camrs. Man, can't wait to see more clash of the YT toy channels with Pixel Dan. Hoping to see you collaborate with the likes of your fellow Canadians such as Michael Mercy and Laura Legend who both happen to be big fans of MoTu and TMNT properties. Also, a New Zealander guy by the name of Anthony with his channel ,Analog Toys.

Dan, really enjoyed this episode. I think having Michael with you added another dimension to it. It was just fun to see two retro toy enthusiasts hunting and looking for these classic toys. I for one would love to see this happen more often. I understand geography creates an issue but this was just GREAT.

you have no idea how jealous i am of that experience. i have watched both channels for a long time and it was a success to see it merge for this. Im from 78 as well but i def identify more with Masters on up. Great content.

Always looking forward to these Toy Hunting videos, i enjoy them very much. I don't have many opportunities to go toy hunting myself at conventions and the sort of stores you go to over there in the U.S, so seeing these is always great and exiting, sort of feels like hanging out with you for a while. Two of my favorite guys from two of my favorite channels, that's to much goodness in the same video, we are getting spoiled in a good comfortable and much welcomed way :)
So when will there be some real collaboration videos between Retroblasting and Pixel Dan? I would love to see some or maybe just some more small guest appearances. So many possibilities :)

That was fun watching you two guys hang out! i love both channels so much. Its hard to believe Psylocke and Rouge have gone up in price so much. It wasnt but 6 months ago my local gamestop had pegs full of that psylocke. Great video!

I started croaking at 17:18 seeing the boxed Bucky O'Hare vehicles! Been pricing those on eBay to complete my collection and yeah, that's a great price! Great payoff to see the boxes opened and them bought and looking forward to RB's Bucky video!

Man this was awesome. So many great toys from my childhood on display! I'm also surprised at how much the newer toys are going for. Seeing those original TMNT figures made me wonder if buying the reissued pack from Gamestop would be a good investment?
The Bucky O Hare boxed grabs are great!!! These videos have been great therapy for me dealing with no shows happening these days. Looking forward to toys shows next year even more now.

That Donatello was also my first Ninja Turtle. I believe mine was also from Hills. My Dad got it for me. I remember flipping him in the air in our back yard trying to get to land on his feet. He ended up coming apart but I was able to reassemble him.

I remember in third grade kids in one of the other classes brought with them to school to play with the Space 1999 set with the box and I remember the same kid bringing the Star Trek Mego Enterprise playset with the Star Trek figures and yeah they were all over the place this was back in 1975-6ish. I was born 1969 first GiJoe in 1973 Sea Adventurer which I have a remade version of him from the GiJoe club set that was remade to celebrate those.
WOW, Pixel Dan, I am amazed at how much the Turtles Hard Headed Donatello and Raphael are incredibly high for prices. I know there is Joeflation , but this gives new meaning to the word "Turtleflation".
TMNT has skyrocketed in price the past few years
@@Pixel-dan Yeah, I think it is ridiculously high price to pay for it and it makes me wonder what is the reason for the increase in price, when there has not been any cartoon of TMNT on the major networks for a long time now and if it is due to it being on the Cartoon Network, or something else like the popularity of the movies.
