Welcome back to learning with Lowko (educational series) 1. Most terran units don't report burrowed zerg because they don't want to get fired at for wasting a scan. 2. Nukes rely on the ghost's laster mainly as a safety precaution against hacking. 3. The raven is a lie. 4. The nydus worm's butt has a built-in back door. 5. A concave of spore crawlers out in stores near you now! Until we meet again...
19:45 C&C Generals was my jam back when. No unit caps and infinite eco potential. I'd box in my AI opponents, mass units, and steamroll everything. Nuke every inch of the map at once, my own base included. Peak fun for a 12 year old
At 54:50 Dark makes a genius move: when pulling back the roaches after seeing the siege tank, he splits off the two near death roaches and sends them home on a suboptimal route, because he knows the banshee will intercept the roach cluster and would target them.
I mean, it's not exactly genius, it's quiet easy to think of. What's impressive is that he had time to think about it while casually clicking like 400 apm and actively thinking of the strategy for a really obscure game. I guess it's just an impressive experience in the matchup
at 27:08 the EMP did hit the Infestor. EMPs have a limit to the energy and shield damage they deal at 100 damage to shields/energy. The Infestor went from full 200 energy to 100 energy when the EMP hit, but it did hit. This means that EMP is still very effective against casters, but does not completely negate them in a single shot, unless they were already at half energy or less. Also, the Terran Conglomerate? Ahahaha, The Kel-Morian Combine!
In the first game Dark was actually getting more efficient trades in terms of gas. So the stolen gas was a bonus, but not the winning move neccessarily. Very impressive
it was with how the last fight went. This 1,5k gas difference would result in like 10 more ghosts and almost no reinforcement for Dark, so that would be way closer
Long games like game 1 are demonstrations of why the pros at the very top are on another level from pros like Bunny. Dark was winning for over a half hour, and it wasn't even a question. Dark closed Bunny's windows of opportunity so fast he made it look effortless. Edit: And yet... *facepalm*
@@ryanj610 If you're talking about Dark, he didn't need to! His decisions were worth more than Bunny's army. If you're talking about Bunny...well...that reinforces my point.
Lowko, are you the biggest RTS caster on UA-cam? I got an idea on my head that maybe pig had as many subscribers as you, and I looked, it's not even close. You seem to blow every other caster I can think of for SC or AoE out of the water in terms of subscriber count. If so, congratulations, though it's probably old news to you. Still an accolade to be proud of
Introduce CEP for cancelled nukes and have them land at a random point in the circle. The earlier the nuke gets cancelled, the greater the CEP. This includes self cancelled nukes.
A thing about nukes is they go in to space and then launch the warheads towards their target from space. So when the sniper gets killed the nuke just flies off in to space and never launches the warhead.
Fun fact: The Nydus Network structure isn't actually the bum with the worms being the heads, it's the other way around! Yes, one of the Zerg's most terrifying tactical repositioning abilities is... eating their own units and shitting them out elsewhere. Life finds a way.
No one would expect you to know the name of a map when all you can see is creep. Lowko acting out wall rage is something else. Wow, bunny spent dark patience in the first round to sweep the next two. What a fivehead move.
In real life the nukes gets armed midway to their targets (to avoid friendly fire) so we could say that the lore here is that the nuke gets launched and then they await the input from the ghost to be armed. If it end up not getting it in x time it just peter out without being armed or direct itself to the sky or to orbit
Part of me wants to handwave that the nuke never lands if the Ghost is killed because the Terrans intend it that way as a safety precaution, if the targeting is lost before its fully acquired then the nuke detonates in space or is programmed to go way off course. But as seen in the campaign, Mengsk has no problem nuking his own cities to destroy the Zerg, so that can't be it.
I so badly want to see a toggle button for all combat units, that changes their firing priority to workers over everything else. Imagine how much more valuable certain units like Hellions and Zealots would be if you could stutter step them and they would auto target workers. 10 Zealots can be made useless by 1 well placed spine crawler
LoL... Nuking someone with their own neuraled Ghost after stealing an SVC to build a CC, and later Ghost Academy, to have your own nuke... would rank rather high amongst the list of possible flexes.
I'm amazed how effin terrible every Terran's endgame is. None of these top level jokers have any idea what to do once the map is mined, other than feed paid units into Z's free units.
Thank the gods neurald ghost can't nuke! I'm not a pro player and play for fun (and yes I lose a lot) but my whole goal is to build like 6 academy and call down the thunder.
I just dont get, how could be pros concerned by neural parasite at raven while raven can see burrowed units... No infestor could get close enough to it to get neural going...
I think they take up too much supply so it's easy to overrun an army that is using a decent number of swarm hosts. I think that's the explanation I have heard in the past
@@FirstLast-gk6lg under normal circumstances i think that's true but we were in a situation that is a little unusual where zerg is forced to take bad trades while having 15k in the bank with his entire map mined out, while having 45 workers. i think he could afford to kill 15 workers to have 5 swarm hosts and nydus them around the map slowly draining terran resources. and plus you could just turn those workers into spores and then the zerg has a forrest of spores to camp on for the main army and a harassment squat of free units. i obviously have no idea what im talking about but its fun to think about :D
@rhyguy6260 I agree it is really fun. And yeah Zerg "static" defense being able to stand up and walk around at only the cost of 100 minerals is crazy haha so op
I think Terran needs a buff. Zerg is clearly so OP. I mean, Dark beating Bunny? Bruh! That should never happen. Please don’t use arguments like “Dark is a better player than Bunny.” My head is so far up my ass that if I’m not balance whining, I’d be playing fortnite instead
So sorry. I'm only commenting because it bugs the crap out of me. "Alcyone" is pronounced "al-see-on", like how Halcyon is pronounced, but without the H. Thank you

48:20 think that should be “for desertion” 🤔
Bunny: Let's try a macro game!
Bunny after game 1: Let's....not do that.

Why not these days? We have cool mods nowadays kek
It has a a thriving scene! Check out LeGiNaRe Generals!!!
OpenRA is very popular
Dark had that Thor on a leash in game 1! hahah
had me belly laughing
I loved that 1 marauder who survived a swarm in 21:41
I feel like the random cycolone must be called thomas, thomas the train because thats wht it basically was in the starcrafts carbot series

Poor jimmy. Has been told to hold the position while the other 3 marines grab some beer and pizza as an excuse.
I'm a simple man I see nuke in SC2 I click the video and hit like
A man of culture I see :D
This!! Truer statements have never been made.
With it
I submit to all SC2 clickbait titles
Nuke that like button

That was quite the comeback. o_o
Thanks for casting. ^^
"The Chompers are out. Chomp chomp chomp." "Chomp chomp chomp the Terran, gently down their base." Beautiful

It would be cool if the nuke would land in a random place on the map if the ghost is killed
Ravens will become part of the lategame meta the day Hell freezes over
"High level games" man, my man Lowko really gonna slight Dark like that.
That HERO siege tank hangin’ on at the very end might have just won the final match for Bunny
Can you please make a video just of the top 10 unexplained scientific facts in Starcraft?
the game with the hackers was generals, you could also do supply drops as the US.
Dark is my favourite. He has that drunken master style. Confusion fu.

An hour+ best of 3?! Awesome!!!
Names for the Shadow Organizations in SC2 Balancing
Zerg - The Zerg Hivemind
Terran - The Terran Cabal
Protoss - The Protoss High Council
Did you know? Alcione is the name of a really big BR singer. She has the best broken heart songs ever, no one can hold to then.
@Lowko I'm really ok with your nuke cancellation idea :D
an hour long Bo3.....
*let's do this*
holy crap! this was actually a nailbiter!
1:25 Zest is missing me, hope he will come back here to reinforce the protoss scene
Bunny NEEDS hellbats! To guard those snipes
Epic cast
... terrans executing their own ghosts to adjust the nuke aim
37:20 The win condition in Starcraft 2 is to destroy all of your opponent’s structures.
Dark just playing with his food in game 1. Clearly just trying to mentally destory bunny

If it end up not getting it in x time it just peter out without being armed or direct itself to the sky or to orbit
I would hope when the Nuke launches and the final confirmation of allowing the Ghost has not been established that the Nuke would be disarmed.
I see you screwed up the intro again... (GJ though and nice games!) It was C&C Generals .. my all time fav. game.
Part of me wants to handwave that the nuke never lands if the Ghost is killed because the Terrans intend it that way as a safety precaution, if the targeting is lost before its fully acquired then the nuke detonates in space or is programmed to go way off course. Game three looked like the penguin brothers build from uthermal XD
Look at the *streams* of zerg flesh and gore rising to the sky in the last actions...
Wow, Bunny slaughtered in Nr.3!
I always thought Liberation Zones were more like Oppression Zones
That last game was decisive
Cant wait to read up on concave of spore crawlers.
dark's end gameis masterful
dark is such a dirtbag man, love it. he is just trolling bunny with those infestors. takes a ghost, uses it to snipe another ghost hahah
Uthermal has given me an unrealistic expectation when i read "mass nuke."
34:00 dirty Lowko
You tried 1 nydus in the main yes. But did you try 2nd nydus?
I so badly want to see a toggle button for all combat units, that changes their firing priority to workers over everything else. Imagine how much more valuable certain units like Hellions and Zealots would be if you could stutter step them and they would auto target workers. 10 Zealots can be made useless by 1 well placed spine crawler
Tedious Turtling Terran on first game. Nukes were kind of cool.
Seeing these pro games is always a great reminder that Protoss doesn't exist.
A ZvT where the Zerg won the long and slow attrition round and the Terran won 2 fast rush rounds.
I keep wondering why won’t bunny do a 2 med drop on the main, when the brood lord army is all on the front line.
great game!
The Raven should have a "parked" mode just like the Overseer and Observer. Then Terran players won't F2 A-move their Ravens with their army :)
LoL... Nuking someone with their own neuraled Ghost after stealing an SVC to build a CC, and later Ghost Academy, to have your own nuke... would rank rather high amongst the list of possible flexes.
When will game #1 ever end? I've already taken several hits of smoke and walked my dog, yet it is not over.
another question: can you unload the medivac while controlled by an infestor?
If the nuke doesn’t land I’m gonna be so sad
Nukes should be the same cost as a nydus
great games.
I'm amazed how effin terrible every Terran's endgame is. None of these top level jokers have any idea what to do once the map is mined, other than feed paid units into Z's free units.
True, also not having 3/3 upgrades for merch by 33 min is a joke in itself
Until today I didn't know Ultras can burrow ?! 😀
lol very suspicious that house sized mound of freshly moved dirt, which seems to be rhythmically moving up and down almost like it's breathing.
Nuke operator. Nuuuuke operatoooor.
The fact that nukes don't even kill spore crawlers is so dumb.
No have the nuke land in a totally random spot
You can nuke with a neural ghost
I wont like till he does the old intro
Didnt Zerg use to use swarmhosts to break things like game 1? Would 5ish swarms do anything in that game state?
Lowko talking about China in C&C Generals (hackers for infinite income)
I see nud.. *ehm, nuke i press like
The final boss vs bunny
Why did those 4k videos become blurry?
But can you cancel a nuke if its deployed and you neuro the ghost?
Thank the gods neurald ghost can't nuke! I'm not a pro player and play for fun (and yes I lose a lot) but my whole goal is to build like 6 academy and call down the thunder.
why do pros never repair medivac i just dunno
I just dont get, how could be pros concerned by neural parasite at raven while raven can see burrowed units... No infestor could get close enough to it to get neural going...

Dark
U should make ur catchphrase fair enough even when it doesn't make sense
I'm noticing player pictures in thumbnail other than Scarlettttttttt
Mmmhmmm
Ain't no bod' wanna see a manny, cuh.
correct me if i am wrong i just watch this game but wouldn't the solution for dark in game 1 be swarm hosts to get free value and just kill things
I think they take up too much supply so it's easy to overrun an army that is using a decent number of swarm hosts. I think that's the explanation I have heard in the past

Dark is good, but stutter marines hard counter most players
One Raven
this series was game of the year with game 3 being such a major swing. a mined out serral game down to 9 workers vs 1 is boring.
Why you always say my name is lowko but its not, you shuld say i call my self lowko.

Useless Nuke
Useless Turret
Useless Battlecruiser
Useless Banshee
More useless unit in Terran
Marines, Ghosts, and Tanks make up for it all haha
