Really? I bet you never think of him. He must have been medicated just to do these interviews. Poor guy suffered from depression all his adult life. Nothing worked. So he hanged himself. Don't blame him either. Depression is terrible. A nightmare.
I barely knew Hester all those years ago..another struggling musician..another soldier of fortune seeking a safe harbour, plying our wares across the Melbourne scene of the post Neolithic 70’s,hoping for magic to happen. And it did..finally,for him. Paul was a true paradox. The beautiful jester,a deeply thoughtful auto didact with all of the attendant contradictions and sensitivity somehow masking a purity he quested for,and like most of us,he sought a way to truly resolve what his true prime directive in this life might be.. When I heard of the news and of the circumstances of his death at the time I was deeply shocked. Of all(and there were many) talented humans I knew in the Neolithic,he would be the one you could say would ultimately find his true place in the annals,at the very least,as a guide and inspiration to all of the quirks and oddities.. everywhere out there. A true one off.
Thank you Peter, what a beauty! The music of Crowded House has loomed large in my life for three decades and counting. Your generous flow of material swells this heart, all of them further proof of the power of music and the personalities who make it.
I remember seeing him at Auckland airport once and wanting to go up and say hello . Was too chicken . Wished I had . Sad for him that he suffered with depression . He will always be alive in the music . ❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️
so far no plans, just the 2 official LLT EPs and the one off run that Paul ok'd for the fanclub. There was talk of THE SHED being released on bluray/DVD but haven't heard any more on this.
Thank you Paul from stopping me. I love you.
The world needs people like Paul, faults and all, what a character, bloody pissed off he’s gone.

Suppose if we are missing Paul now, we will miss him forever. I kept thinking of Bookends by Simon and Garfunkel while watching this.
Miss you, Paul!
we do too believe me.
Such a sweet soul.

The poor guy never got over his days with Crowded House that he ended up taking his own life. The band reformed after he died.
Thanks Peter. What a nice man he was. Sadly missed..

Paul ♥️
Wouldn't it have been strange if he'd said Love This Life was a favourite. I always loved the dynamics In Fingers of Love.
Thanks for posting Peter

Will his music ever be given a proper release? God, what a loss. 🤝💔

What a hole he has left in life.
I don't understand why you did that ...please why 🦋
Freemason.. so do you think he hung HIMSELF?
Openly? Or..what evidence do you have? Quite interested.
With what? A dog lead...?
