That is so much better. I thought you are all about Megabass vision 110 ITO catching big mouth bass lol. By the way, what hook size would you recommend replace on Megabass Kanata SW? Thank!
After watching your previous video on rock fishing using ocean legacy jigs, I went to the link in your video, but they don't ship to my address (LB,USA). I found a limited selection at Charkbait, and I recently went to Savon Tackle and saw they have a nice selection there. (Unfortunately, no online store)
I was able to reload my stock of Ocea Legacy jigs at Sav On Tackle myself recently! Glad you were able to score some. The jigs have been getting bit very well for us!
Hey Oliver amazing content. Thanks for sharing. I’m looking into an ocean’s legacy origin long fall, debating between medium and heavy. Do you ever go heavier than 400 grams on your medium origin rod?
With relief shading, there’s no such thing as secret spots lol. Further you get away from land the better it will be. But I have caught many many reds that size 8 miles from shore
@MikeChen-1992 it is messier, a much bigger hassle and the amount of tiny fish you have to weed through is annoying. We busted their asses with the jigs in an effective and more importantly FUN manner. Fishing isn't about just catching fish for the sake of catching fish for me. It's about HOW we want to go about catching them and the experience building up to it. No dis to anybody that fishes bait though, we've all done it.
I LOVE rockfishing lol! Give me a beer and a boat burger and I'm all set!
We love it now! Haha

I've found that I can go beyond the ratings by 100 grams in a pinch if necessary. Call performance tackle in Los alamitos, they have them in stock
@ Thanks Oliver I might stick with the medium in that case, as a shallows/deep dual purpose rod. Keep up the good work. Hope to fish with you soon!
Nice work 😮

What brand is slow pitch rod do you use? I’m stuck between Temple reef or Phenix. What brands do you like for so cal?
We've been using ocean legacy, gan craft, and Maxel slow pitch rods. JYG rods are next. Haven't used either temple reef or the phenix models yet.
Where do you fish out of?.. Im down near Newport/Dana Point
Dana, newport and long beach
With this iron plate, is there no need for squid?
We usually bring no bait of any kind of these trips
@@OliverNgy Is it easier to catch fish with squid and shrimp?

2 red Snapper limit per person
It's two vermillion per person. Red snapper is not the correct term but is frequently used.
@OliverNgy Thanks. I'll educate the deck hands next time. 😀
@HHplayground please do. I was a deckhand many moons ago. Most of them are mis-informed on most things 🤗
