Coppicing Hazel with an Axe

Clearing an area around some tree memorials for a customer and clearing a path to re-establish a woodland ride. This involved coppicing some hazel so I took the opportunity to capture some axe coppicing on video. The Hazel will regrow and in the meantime the additional light will allow other plants to flourish whilst the Haze restablishes itself, creating biodiversity. The practice will also extend the life of the Hazel, provide fuel for the customer, and habitat for wildlife via the unused brash piles.
