  • Hey Crafters!!
    Today’s video includes fun disc ornaments that you can get from the Dollar Tree or any craft store. The set of 25 I got from Michaels and they were $12 after being 40% off this past week!! Look for the discounts to get even better in the next few weeks! I thought this would be fun to try with the Christmas disc ornaments - I have made wood grain tumblers in the past and just happened to think that this would be fun to try in an ornament. As per a few days this week this was not the intended video for the day but I love when stuff like this happens. It makes me feel more creative to think about doing a few things different!! I appreciate all your all comments and feedback and hope to make a few videos upcoming with some of YOUR creative ideas that you leave me in the comments. I am forever grateful for your friendship and time and appreciate that you choose to spend this time with me - especially all week!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish you all well and hope you get a moment to craft it up!!
    Giveaway Details:
    2 sets of Spectrum Noir Markers and anything else I can fit in box after!!
    You MUST be subscribed and like and comment on videos for Day 5, 6, and 7 - all week would be nice and I will recognize many of you if you have!! Please check your settings and make sure they are not private if you want to be eligible!

    well it seems I overlapped by voiceover around 11:30-12 minutes section. I would just take it down and fix it but I have so many comments for the giveaway and it won't have them on there if I do that!! Sorry about that! I am devastated... I am glad it's only 30 seconds- thank you in advance for understanding!!

    These are Gorgeous! I have never tried Alchohol Inks before, but I have watched videos on others using them. This is the first time I've been tempted to buy some and try them.
    I do have a question for you. Can you drop drops inside the Ornaments and swirl them around and get a "stained glass" look, or will they turn "muddy"? If I can get a "stain glass" look I really would go buy some of the inks and try them.
    Thank you for sharing.

    • @CraftingItUpandCreations
      @CraftingItUpandCreations  4 роки тому +1

      I have seen some do that before as well!! you can even do that and add the glitter to the inside as well. It could muddy the color but they do dry pretty quick so if you roll it around in different areas it may work!! If you don't like it take alcohol and rinse it all out! I would get the 91% alcohol and it's fairly inexpensive.

    • @CraftingItUpandCreations

      they dry really fast and reapplying the new color kinda helps make it wet again for a few seconds as you swipe the paint brush. Many times it dries before I am ready but you just go back and add a drop of ink and swipe some more. ❤️

    • @CraftingItUpandCreations
      @CraftingItUpandCreations  4 роки тому +1

      well base color should always be yellow and then the lighter color and a darker color. You can even just use 2 colors. I don't think you can mess it up - if you don't like it you just swipe back over that area!! Alcohol inks are so forgiving!! ❤️

      Hi Kaye!!! Thanks for letting me know about that..I am going to leave it as is since I have comments and a giveaway attached to this video 😔 bummer... So I have had alcohol inks for close to 10 years now and have only used a white one up completely. I can't remember what I was using the white for now but it's the only one I have bought two of. They have some out now called alcohol pearls. So beautiful... I tend to use purple and pinks most often but when I did wood grain tumblers I did end up getting whatever browns were available so I could do different colors. I love the darker ones. I don't even think with all I have used them for the past that few are even at the half way mark. Hope that helps some. Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️

      @@CraftingItUpandCreations Oh the voice over is not that big of a deal so no worries friend❣ That is great to about the longevity of the inks 😁 I do not have a Hobby lobby close but I do have a Michaels ✋ Oh also yesterday I was watching a wreath making video and all the friends in the chat were saying to use a lighter on your ribbon to keep it from fraying, I hope this helps! God Bless❣

    Is there an odor to these inks?
