- Goalies dictate how they want to be warmed up, a warm up prior to a practice or a game is the goalies method of getting into the "zone" both mentally and physically. This warm up is 9 minutes: A good solid warm up as you will see consists of shots stick side high, off stick side high. stick side hips, off stick side hips, low stick side and off stick side low and bounce shots.
Other factors to determine during your warm up: One or two shooters, speed of shots, distance from goalie to shooter and the length of your warm up to get into the "zone"
