The WRC just lost a star in Craig Breen last week in a testing crash - sometimes it’s easy to forgot how much danger these people put themselves in every time they step in the car, so my respect is through the roof for them! R.I.P Craig Breen 🕊️
I still remember where I live in New Zealand the country went into mourning when we lost our legendary Peter "Possum" Bourne in a crash a few years back.
@@jamesdignanmusic2765 You may be surprised to learn the 20th anniversary was yesterday (as I write), didn't know him but chatted to him and the late Rodger Freeth one night, many years ago - goodness, Rodger died 30 years ago, doesn't seem anything like that long ago.
You guys should pay your attention on the „24h LeMans“. It’s the hardest and oldest race in the world and will have its 100th birthday in June, this year. This race is every year the sport event with the biggest audience, 250000-300000 people. 🏁
Le Mans 1923 Italian GP 1921 Indianapolis 500 and Monte Carlo rally,1911 Isle of Man TT 1907 French GP 1906 but that's a bit off and on. also the Indy 500 gets crowds of 300,000+. 325,000 in 2022
I love love love these rally reactions, my fav clip of all of these is when there's a dog in the road and people are like omg but the car somehow jumps over the dog and the dog is OK. Not sure if it's in this clip or a previous one but ye rally is insane. I have one of these practically on my doorstep. The great orme in Llandudno plus we have one that goes around Anglesey
It's a popular sport here in New Zealand - and also in Scandinavia, where it looks like a lot of this was shot - because our roads are perfect for this sort of action. And yes, roll bars are mandatory! BTW, if you think this is crazy, you need to check out some of the Isle of Man's TT motorcycle racing!
Our country lanes here in the UK are only too narrow. if you have a Ford F150 Raptor of a Dodge Ram TRX 1500. That's also another reason why we don't drive along then at 110mph either.
in rally time counts so if you crash or roll the car and it lands back on the wheel and you are on the road, you keep going, there is footage of some drive with 3 wheels on and they haul ass as the faster they get to the pit team the more time they have to repair it for the next stage in the rally there is strict regulations on rally that determiners what class you are in, as how much power the car can output how much of the original car has to be retained of the structure, but main standard is full cabin roll-cage, harness and seats that is FIA approved even to fire protections extinguisher and gear the driver and co-driver has the horn you sometimes hear is a warning for people to get off the road now they say that there was a car that never needed a roll-cage due to how solid it was, and it was the Saab 900 generation 1
Keep these coming, fun to watch! either these or some Finnish rally compilations (pretty much whatever finnish comp u can find is good) i suggest Kaasua 11 by the channel Pata78!
The white car you commented on that appeared 3 times is a Ford Sierra RS Cosworth, bigger brother to the Escort RS Cosworth. Over on this side of 'The Pond' during the 1980's this was an Iconic fast family car that petrol heads (gear heads?) would dream of owning. Cosworth are a tuning company who spent many years building and supplying race winning Formula 1 engines, especially through the 70's and 80's so they know a bit about building powerful engines.
I would love to see you react to the best 5 speedway GP races from the last few years, there is a good Jeremy Clarkson video about Lancia's last RWD as opposed to 4WD World Championship where they certainly broke many of the rules.
The stupid crash at 3.30 is so easy to do, after hammering through a load of turns pulling hard on the steering the brain is still in hi speed mode even though he had nearly stopped
Not so many walls, but certainly high speed, trees, people, cars and quite a few unpleasant looking crashes: "Crazy Finns Crashing - with pure crashing sounds"
I think after this I'm going back to one of your old reactions where you react to crash in motor sports but it had trucks and all sorts in it. If I remember rightly a truck goes off the track and lands on another part of the track lower down the hill
I would love you to react racing in slow motion iv :) edit: in case you are wondering it features all kinds of motorsports and while it's bit older video it's still a great watch.
Could you please react to TONI BOU he's a trials rider who's never been beaten in 16 years of competition he's a 32 Times world champion 2 championships a year indoor and outdoor what he can do on a motorbike will blow your mind
If you flip you are penalised . . . But only in so much as you probably lost time whilst you were upside down. I don't believe there's an actual time penalty for flipping. You will be pleased to hear that Roll-cages are standard regulation on rally cars.
Guys you are welcome to come and holiday where I lvoe anytime and I will take you to the most amazing adrenaline raising places we have including the fastest zip line in the world I think or it was. Rally drivers are miles ahead of F1 drivers in terms of talent. These days rallies are watered down but still miles ahead of anything F1 does. Many regard them as the best drivers in the world.
4:37 People don't really understand that helmets worn by drivers in motorsports are tremendously limiting the field of view. It is acceptable in racing on curcuits like Nascar or F1 but on public roads (where Rallye is happening) they are far more worse in the visibility area.
I get that, completely different but I used to freerun. Padding and wires and stuff really impact on your ability and cause you to fall, of course it's better to fall with safety gear but you are alot less likely to fall without it
Watching that guy going upside down in the snow reminded me of the first time I ever went skiing. I went to a village in Austria called Kolsass Weer. The mountains weren't that high but were really beautiful with some nice surprises hidden away. The snow cover wasn't that great, so for the first three days I was trying to learn on ice with a roughed up surface. It hurt when you fell over! On our last day all the groups of various levels of ability took part in a ski race on a slalom course with lots of hairpin bends. It was hilarious with people crashing into the crowds of spectators, one ended up crashing into the beer hut, another ended up on the road, and nearly got hit by a car. It was great fun. I managed to get most of the way down through the gates until one of my boot bindings broke and I went flying off the course. I still had three gates to go so people were yelling at me to pick up my skis and poles and then run the rest of the course as I'd still get a time and place. So I did! The people with the cowbells were going nuts and laughing themselves silly. I literally skated across the finish line and got mobbed, I still managed to place third in my group of 12, which shows how crap we all were. At the end of the races, my groups instructor Walter decided to take a shortcut back down to the village in his car, it was an Audi Quattro! He started just above the start line for the slalom course and floored it. He managed every gate without knocking any poles over, and then just kept going. From the finish line it was still about one and a half miles down to the village through the trees and at one point there was a small house that you could usually ski round it or if you had enough speed you could use a large bump uphill from the house and try to clear the roof; lots tried, not many succeeded. He jumped the house and landed about 30 yards past the house! Needless to say, he beat the ski bus back to the village. I went back the next year and saw the same lunatic take his car down a black mogul run on a nearby mountain. That guy was a great fun instructor but he was certifiable.

The speed is incredible at those tiny roads, from like 40 to 100 mph, sometimes even more.
