- Is this really Singapore? Just a few steps away from the bus stop is the INCREDIBLE Nature Reserve at MacRitchie Reservoir. The 11 km hike takes you up and over the hills and rainforest slap bang in the middle of Singapore Island and it is an amazing opportunity to see wild boars, monkeys, lizards, turtles and so much more wildlife and nature. For a minute we felt like we were out of the spralling city of Singapore.

The Zig-zag bridge has been there forever. I remember running along it as a kid (5 to 6-ish) and I'm 43 now!
Aw cute!!! Bet it would be great fun as a kid
Glad to see you guys back in Asia.
We're loving it! We've got a few videos here already ☺️ take a look.
You might want to add the Tree Top Walk the next time you get the energy to do the McRitchie trails again. Closed for maintenance for now but hopefully opening in the coming weeks/months.
Yeah we got there and it was closed 😔 next time I hope we can go. 👍
@@RobandJenny TreeTop Walk is closed for maintenance works from Aug 2020 till Q3 2021.

So nice.!
Thank you for watching ☺️ glad you enjoyed!
Happy walking, trekking, train those healthy lungs......lol
Thanks. We love it! Hopefully soon we can get out to other places like Indonesia and Malaysia for some more trekking! 😊
You will find many zig zag bridges in China, especially Chinese gardens because Chinese mythology says ghosts and other bad spirits cannot traverse a zig zag bridge as they only go straight!
Oh wow that's so cool! 👍 I think I might remember something like that from the Chinese garden we went to in Beijing. 😊
wild boars can't go zigzag too
u should try the north side of sg...u should try admiralty park and the slide park playground...also Woodlands Waterfront Park..or sembawang battle ship park and sungei buloh wet land too...
We will try these places. There are are lots of cool places we want to visit. Thank you for watching and for your suggestions, it really helps us! 😊
Rob and Jenny if I were to walk around there I would have needed oxygen. 😄😄
Great vlog. 🙂🙂
Haha 😂😂 maybe a few more benches would be good!
@@RobandJenny I will pass on that and leave it to the men to do. 😄
awesome channel! subbed!
Thanks a lot! Hope you are enjoying!

Thank you! We are hoping to have friends and family visit as soon as rules allow ☺️☺️
8:45 I saw predator.
The wild boar?!
I love this video! You guys should definitely check out the kranji countryside area. There are nature reserves and farms. It is definitely not what you expect of Singapore!
That sounds like somewhere we would love to visit!!
You can hike from MacRitchie to Bukit Timah Hill. Try it.
That sounds like a nice idea.will have to give it a try. Nature in Singapore! 🥰
@@RobandJenny but dun transpass into military training area..lol
Always love your videos and especially your commentaries. You compliment each other wonderfully. Thank you. Keep on truckin!
Thank you so much, that's such a lovely comment. It means so much to us. Thank you! Have a great day 😊
Hopefully one day we cross our roods while vlogging Guy's
you may only rent a close top kayak and row far out if you pass got a 1/2 star certifications after a two days courses and pass a test. Some of my friends represented the country 20 years ago at Asia level competitions and without the cert they are still subjected to the restrictions.
Ah ok, that's good to know thank you !
Great Video . I give it a "like".
Do keep it up

Thanks 😊
Amazing video 👍👍👍Rob n Jenny.Stay safe. God Bless🙏🙏🙏
Thanks alot. Glad you enjoyed it! Stay safe 😊😊
If you go off the path you can find a broken down japanese Shinto shrine.
That's interesting. Maybe we should go back and have a look for it! 😊
Please do not go off track as advised by the NPark. It will cause disruption to the nature and is also dangerous as the shrine lies deep within. Wouldn't want anyone to get lost and hurt in there.
@@KJC2202 that's a good point actually. I wouldn't want to go hunting through the forest!
Love you earrings, Jenny! Where'd you get them from? x
Thank you! They are just from H&M 😊
That's one of the many things I loved about Singapore. Very built up (love the architecture), but the parks are like another world. You wont tire of the green space...
It's like being out in the wild again! Amazing. And so well kept!
Maybe you should consider handheld fan to keep yourself cool and UV umbrella along to shade from the menacing sun.
The fan is a good shout!
I recommend doing trails in the morning around 7-8 am as SG is very hot to be outdoors esp from 10 am-4 pm.
Yeah we are learning the hard way 🙈
Some of the designs there are influenced by historical events.
Oh thank you!
Glad to see you again.
Singapore is very hot, be careful when you are outside.
Thanks a lot. Glad to have you back watching again 😊
We will take care ☺️ lots of sunscreen
Just like two children
In a good way? 😂😂
Prefer Singapore with more tree .
The nature here is really lovely. Worried they will chop it all down for more housing.
麦里芝蓄水池
Loved it guys 😁❤️
Thank you!
My favourite jogging location.
The whole place was full of joggers! Much too hot and far for us. Good effort!
@@RobandJenny After 10am, it is too hot for me too. However, Macritchie Reservoir is very cooling at 7am.
First !
Congratulations you did it! 🎉 Thanks for watching.
@@RobandJenny pls goggle the drone law in Singapore :D
@@forgetmyname5166 thank you, yeah we checked it out. I think that everything I have done is legal. I hope so. 👍 I always try and check the laws before flying.
@@RobandJenny ok 👍
Thank you for the video and narrative. It is excellent. I enjoyed all of it. The zig-zag bridge is a landmark. I think there is a cafeteria next to it. I used to run and compete cross country while in secondary school at the reservoir. Lovely memory. But now, I live in California, USA.
Lastly, thank you for making such a wonderful vir
Oh we will have to check out the cafeteria! Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your memories 😊
