This was my brothers favorite song. He'd play it over and over and it was played as his song at my mothers funeral. Rest in the arms of the Lord, Owen Devasier I love to hear it myself, just pure exhilaration to me.
Wow....almost 36 and my whole youth came flashing by in just over 2 minutes. Thank god for youtube to always remind peeps of were they came from, massive flashback. How could i ever forget this touching and beautiful song. Thank you so much for this upload
Fantastic music, this piece always lifts my spirits. James Last and his orchestra always enjoy what they playing and have FUN! Just watched a recording of this 2002 concert (again) on Danish TV and always enjoy the accordian/bandonian duo. Jo Ment (bandonian) died later the same year aged 79. The beautiful girl is Maryline Menweg who was 18 or 19 at that time! She was a guest with the orchestra after winning 2 prestigious prizes for her accordian playing in 2000. She is now a music professor.
I first heard James Last's music on the radio back in the late 1970's in California on easy listening stations. This song along with "The Lonely Shepard" were great pieces, but never heard since the late 1980's when easy listening stations began disappearing, the last one in the San Francisco Bay area, KABL turned rock in 1990. KABL used to play James Last quite often. None of his music is heard at all except on satalite radio these days.
I believe this is one of the worlds finest pieces of music, amazing its hardly known her in the USA. Can any one give some history on this piece, who composed it?

I adore the original, non computerized musicians,,, searching for sounds in strange combinations of instruments and scales... long before their time they mastered the ideas we all seek when we want to hear something new yet wonderful...
Me recuerda mi niñez aquí en Guatemala. ¡No hay música como esa! Estupenda! Gracias por tenerla para recordarla. Julio González. Guatemala
Easly listening stations in America used to play James last music, but beginning in 1990, all the easy listening stations disappeared almost overnight! I have not heard a James last song on the radio since, only on XM Satelite radio. I first heard James last's music in the last 1970's. In the early 1980's I began buying his LP's and cassette tapes...including this one.
Thanks for posting this. I just stumbled on it as I was listening to some other linked pieces. Have enjoyed James Last's music for many years now. But I have never heard this one before.

Na, még egyszer, ide is... Fantasztikus zene! :-(((((
The sound of this video is taken from the original version of Biscaya (1982 version), and does not match this concert. You can find this video with its real sound if you search youtube.
