I did all the steps till startx, but when I type startx, there is error "xf86EnableIO: failed to enable I/O ports 0000-03ff (Operation not permitted)". And also "not found xinit: connection to X server lost" :((((

Dude it's all good but can you help me with this. I have always failed to make automatic window resizing to work on arch linux in virtual box. i have tried installing both the virtualbox-guest-utils package and also using the guest additions iso but only managed to make bidirectional clipboard work. please help me with this. this has been bugging me for a very long time

Virtual Box is really a pain when it comes to situations like this. I mostly go back here:wiki.archlinux.org/title/VirtualBox/Install_Arch_Linux_as_a_guest for reference. Also, window resizing is in my VBox script in dotfiles repo, have you tried that ?
