That makes sense. Some would think that Millie's pretty forward, but in reality, many people like herself can internally actually be really shy or at least a lot less 'willing' at first to really engage in anything romantic or long-term. Heck, some people have a really strong desire to be with someone and have a long-term relationship, but as soon as an opportunity hits, their brain tries to reel them back in because there's still something stopping them. Sometimes it's just because of a previous relationship, and in the case of someone that hasn't had any relationships; it's stuff like personal insecurities. So, it really rings true that for people like that (and Millie I guess), the solution is to realize that they should just try and be open to an opportunity when it arrives. She just has to open herself up to actually engaging on such an opportunity because even if it ends up failing, she's strong enough to get back up afterwards.
Some people think they'd be too devastated if anything goes wrong hence they avoid getting into a relationship altogether (even just subconsciously), but in reality - they're a lot stronger than they think they are, and if they take the risk, they might end up being much happier.

Well, that's not wrong, Enna and Millie's relationship can be seen as a crutch, but at the same time, they're able to get through a lot of shit together. Perhaps its a crutch that prevents them from opening to other people quickly, but it certainly helps them push through their own problems together. I don't think Enna would have survived Nijisanji without Millie and I don't think Millie could be herself without Enna. They compliment each other.

That really makes sense. I think a lot of people like that have lived to become quite self-reliant and very independent, which likely has an effect on their judgements whenever an opportunity for a relationship comes up. Some people are highly dependent on other people, and thus failing to get an opportunity to be in a relationship might seem like a detriment. Whereas to others (like perhaps Millie), sure, she wants to be in a relationship, but whenever an opportunity comes up, it's never a detriment to just opt to stay alone because they don't really need anybody else. As in, there's nothing to lose by not getting into a relationship. The reason that's important to point out, is because that must mean that to many of the people like this, that getting into a relationship, failing to keep that relationship, or any other hardships that are part of a relationship are just too big of a risk for them when they could virtually have 0 risk just staying single.
The real change I guess in people like this (who want relationships despite their personality getting in the way of really deciding to engage in one) should be to A. fully realize what they want. Do they think they want to be in a relatsionhip? If no, then that's easy. If yes, then they should go to B. realize that getting into a relationship WILL have its hardships, but if they try and succeed; it'll give them resolve to something they've wanted, and might not realize - but also might have needed for a long time. Sure, if you truly don't need anybody else, then deciding that you won't get into a relationship is the right choice it seems. However, if you think you might benefit from having somebody around, then take the risk. Some people end up in shitty relationships, but they only end up in shitty lives if they can't get back up from that. People like Millie are already independent and self-sufficient. If she HAS to get out of a bad relationship, she has the tools to do so. However, who's taking the chances that she might get into a GOOD relationship as well?
Ultimately it's realizing that you want a relationship, and realizing that you're strong enough to bounce back from a bad one. Many strong people are strong because they know how to gauge between what's too risky and what isn't. Yet, sometimes relationships are too hard and human personalities are so complex that they can't easily know whether or not getting into a relationship will be good for them or will be too much of a risk. I say that for people like Millie, they should realize that whatever happens; they'll be strong enough for it. And if they try to really engage in a relationship, that they might get all the good that comes from it.
