You don't need to be a Royalist to respect the important position that the Royal Family play within British society, regardless of whatever walk of life you are in. Most of them, particularly Charles, Kate and William set good Christian examples to others from all walks of life, without their being any question marks surrounding the validity of their involvement in helping those there, in many cases, less fortunate than themselves.
In Thailand, you will get jailed for life if u ask out like this for sure. It is good for British to be able to express their opinions freely in public.
I believe the Royal Family represents a solid foundation of culture and tradition, and without our culture and our traditions, then who are we as a people? So, I think they are actually important for our identity.
Great point. We need our monarchy more than ever before due to the rise of unecessary nationalism in various forms across Scotlabd, England and Wales since abd long before Brexit. The Royal Family, especially the likes of William and Kate, set good Christian examples to so many British citizens by supporting many worthwhile charities and irganisatiobs that stand for common good. The British Royal Family still remain ambassadors for Gt Britain when they visit other states or the remaining Commonwealth nations. It doesn't matter what walk of life you are in or how much money you or don't have, the monarchy also remains intrinsic to the democratic process across the four nations which make-up the UK.

As an American, it is my opinion that any set of people that are rich because they were born in a certain family, and remain rich for the rest of their lives for simply being a public figure because of being royal, should be dissolved completely. England still has a very hierarchy overall throughout how much of the country is conducted, which keeps the society from fully evolving beyond it, especially when some lucky men and women are born in a family to simply exist and be rich for it. The fact so many british, specifically the older british, value the royalty shows me to believe there is propaganda over time that makes these people appear to have a value that they do not have. Dissolve the royalty, and new public figures that earned there places will take there places on going after good causes, which those people will be respect far more for it.
If I were British I would be neutral to the Royal Family of Britain because they have advantages and disadvantages. For instance, think about the marriage of William and Kate Middleton, if I remember correctly their marriage was watched by at least over a billion people all around the world on TV and this is a great advertisement for the UK as a country. Maybe you would think we are in the 21st century and there is no need for the Royal Family but you can not ignore that they making the country very popular all around the world.
At to me ,I suppose that the royal family is the symbole of united kingdom's civilisation , morover the queen Elizabeth is one of the wises people around the world and very good leader..
The British royal family has a lot works to do in the globe, i think. They represent not only the british, but also the commonwealth of English nations, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealands, and etc. Not talking about political leadership, but more like a spiritual leadership for the english-influenced countries in the world.
See this is why the commonwealth nations should have had revolutions against the English because now you have the English still trying to represent them "oh wow look we enslaved you and took all your resources because of our monarchs thirst for power now you must be proud of them look how great they are" hahahaha pathetic
Don't you find it strange that you are a second class citizen? And that someone out there is born with more privileges and rights and advantages than you? That is so fucking weird. Royalties shouldn't exist in modern societies.
They are born with rights and privileges not because they want to but because they have been a huge contributor to Britain's history ever since the starting period the monarchy was established. The properties and what they owned are the fruits of their ancestors hardwork and contributions. To have a monarchy similar to UK is much better compared to having a democratic government yet a failure to economic growth, tourism and unity. To oversee what are the good impact of 🇬🇧 monarchy to the commonwealth is very sad. They help people through charity works, keep the environment better through planting trees, flowers and etc., they provide an aid medical, political, advices and supports the Prime Minister, adjust their rules to at least be more open to the public and many more that are a lot to be mentioned in one reply. Just because you see them have better lives than yours, doesn't mean they are nothing. Read and research about them first to understand the importance of their existence.

As an American, i’d like to say that I prefer monarchy over republic. Here in Brazil, for example, we have a lot of political party, almost 100 tributes and we don’t see the return on people’s life. The essence of what I’m trying do express is, although the problems in the monarchy, comparing to the republic form, the first one is away better. Brazil one time have Don Pedro II, the greatest Brazilian of all time, but at 1889 we suffer a military coup and the consequences of that still at the present time. Lula, Dilma And Bolsonaro are the recents examples of how bad are the presidentas in our country. For sure, i dream one day we become a monarchy again or the political here changes, like depose the presidential system to the parliamentary or semi-presidential system. But I think it’s really hard to do. For while, all I have is hope. So, try to see the good side of the British monarchy’s and appreciate the best of you.
Why did you say you’re an American if you’re Brazilian. I know Brazil is in the Americas but I never heard a Brazilian call themselves American. And they also enjoy a kind of immunity and absolute privilege which from my point of view does not make sense. Thank you very much again.
I don’t think it necessarily comes down to generation. This is a tiny number of people who have been asked, and I think there are very diverse opinions about them across the generations here, apart from the much older generations, who lived through the Second World War. I think a lot of people don\’t really see the point in them, apart from the fact that they bring in huge amounts of revenue from tourists each year. I think a lot of people admire the Queen, as she has worked so very hard to try and be a good queen, but maybe don’t see there’s really a place for them any more, as a lot of people don’t believe in the kind of hierarchy that they represent.
