    When things start falling apart we start doubting ourselves, that's where psychology enters.

    My psychology has been on point for years what's been missing is the strategy, I never have fomo, exit early and have proper risk management , don't revenge trade. Got tired of losing long ago so i forced myself to always follow the rules. I will low lot a strategy to the T until an account is blown. Maybe for some people psychology is the huge problem but that's just some. For others it actually is the strategy

      Hmmm interesting take but here’s the thing: You always have to refine your strategy to correspond with current market action to give you your desired results. Of course, your way of approaching the market has to have an edge in the long run. If that strategy did, and your psychology was ALSO on point, there is NO WAY you were still blowing accounts. Unless that strategy lost its edge, in which you’ll be able to tell by the DATA you collect on EVERY trade, and you’ll be able to see what needs improvement. In the past, I’ve used a mechanical strategy I developed that had a 20% win rate, and I was still able to be profitable at the end of the month because firstly, I made sure the strategy still had an edge during that current market cycle through backtesting, and I also collected data PER trade. I have that video up on my channel. After some time, it stopped working as good, and the win rate decreased drastically. How did I know? DATA. What did I do? I thoroughly refined that strategy and made it better, to be able to capitalize on current market action. The money is in the DATA. Your strategy is simply a tool that needs to be refined as market changes. So, although you may have thought your psychology was on point, your willingness to adapt to changing market conditions wasn’t. I consider adaptability as part of your overall psychology, and the only way you’ll know when to adapt is through DATA. Collect data, refine your edge, and as long as your trading attitude is still on point, you’ll be good.

      @@Stanfx1 usually been following other mentors strategies assumingly to the T, either the technical strategy isn't actually being 1:1 replicated or like you said the strategy lost its edge. But that shows that sometimes the problem is the strategy itself brotha. As you said you had to refine and edit the strategy.

    95 percent of the public fails or quit at everything. I taught two skills for years, karate and classical guitar. I can count on one hand the number of students who stuck it through to actually be competent let a lone really good. Trading is the same thing. It separates the wheat from the chaffe. Most people are resigned to be the latter.

    The problem is replicating the same strategy to the T . Psychology is the easier part

    • @Stanfx1
      @Stanfx1  3 дні тому

      No strategy is bulletproof. What happens when your strategy starts taking a hit? Taking consecutive losses? Would you refine it, would you adapt to the market, how would you react. That right there is why psychology supersedes ANY strategy.

    • @Aaron-pd6uu
      @Aaron-pd6uu 3 дні тому

  • @Swagtastic225

    "psychology" is just following the strategy to the T. it's not deep at all in the slightest

    • @Stanfx1
      @Stanfx1  6 днів тому +2

      It’s not that simple. A strategy is a tool you can use to spot repeatable patterns and try to capitalize on them. Your psychology, on the other hand, is disciplining yourself to stick to your predefined rules, no matter the result your strategy produces. That’s the hardest part!

  • @goodman1127
    @goodman1127 6 днів тому +1

    You overestimate psychology. When you take a trade your psychology is useless. You are only sittin and gazing at the chart hoping to take profit. That's all. Being profitable is connected with screen time you devoted

    • @Stanfx1
      @Stanfx1  5 днів тому +2

      I see your point, but I disagree. After you’ve taken a trade, that’s when your psychology comes in play the most. Will you sit through the drawdown? Will you move your stop loss? Will you TP too early or too late? Will you follow all your rules? All these decisions are difficult to fight through. Even traders with decades of experience still find it difficult to overcome their emotions. It’s not just screen time that’s needed, but also having a hold over your mind. You have to constantly learn how to control yourself and your emotions. Psychology should be the basis of any strategy you choose to use. A good strategy without proper psychology is useless. Proper psychology with a decent strategy can still work (as long as it has an edge in the long run). You have to be a master of your mind 🧠

    • @goodman1127
      @goodman1127 5 днів тому

      @@Stanfx1 I think the less psychology in your trading the better results you will have. I think good strategy should eliminate secondary factors from your mind. TP and cutting losses should be straight from your rules not psychology. That's my point.
      Strict adherence to the rules is derived from your confidency and consistency made by screen time not psychology

    • @tianac197
      @tianac197 4 дні тому

      @goodman1127 but psychology is the very thing that allows you to stick the trading plan so diligently. When you make up your mind your gonna follow all your rules to the letter and let nothing else distract you thats your psychology at work your mind making the decision to follow that plan. More screen time doesnt breed discipline. You could stare at the charts for hours and make the same mistake over and over again.

    • @goodman1127
      @goodman1127 4 дні тому

      @@tianac197 i understand what you mean but I call it less psychology in trading is better than more. The main psychological point in trading is not to be greedy. Discipline is part of your personality. Some people are disciplined some not and never will be
