@@bomcdowell-kim9194 It could be, though it could also be a blessing, if we're in good health for all 200 years :) Even living to be 100 could be a curse if one is in terrible chronic pain.
At this point in time, are there any double-blind, human control studies that show any efficacy in humans. I know mice have benefitted. I know the supplement companies have benefited. I am still taking NMN but will stop unless I can find the scientific studies mentioned above. Thank you for your well thought out video.
If you're asking whether NMN raises NAD+ in humans, see this study: "In 2020, the first human clinical study evaluated the safety of single NMN oral administration. Subsequently, repeated NMN intake increased the blood NAD+ levels in healthy participants. Moreover, long-term NMN supplementation in amateur runners, prediabetic women, and older adults enhanced aerobic capacity, muscle insulin sensitivity, and sleep quality, respectively." www.nature.com/articles/s41598-023-29787-3 I am still taking it myself for the reasons I gave in the video. But like you, I would like to see more research in humans.

Hi Nils! You mention that NMN improves recovery after exercise. Do you know of any studies that go more into this? Also does this mean NMN should be taken after working out instead of before? Thanks !!
Hi Deborah, I usually take it in the mornings a couple of hours before my workouts, but lately I've been taking another 500 mg about an hour after working out. Re: NMN improving muscle recovery after workouts, see this article: www.thehealingsole.com/blogs/news/how-nmn-improves-muscle-recovery-strength
Im really confused on Apigenin now after watching a 5 month old study that says you shouldnt take Nmn with Apigenin and that it should be one or the other...something about CD38 and how you have to be careful with it..Another Longevity expert said the same thing....Inhibiting CD38 does increase NAD on its own...please investigate...
This study suggests that ther may be benefits to taking NMN and apigenin together. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9861325/ But I may have missed a different study that came to a different conclusion. Feel free to post a link to it here if you have it.
Thanks for the dosage information. Ive bought nmn but only taken it once. Im taking lion's mane, vitamin D and L carnosine and when i added the nmn i was sick. Do you think its ok to take it, but maybe after a 2 hr gap?
That's an interesting question. If I were in that situation, I would probably try taking a day off from supplements; then try the NMN by itself to see how you feel when you take it; then try it on a day when you're taking the other supplements, but a few hours earlier or later. According to the studies I've read, NMN has a very short half life; if you take a small dose in the morning then wait 2 or 3 hours, it will likely be gone from your body by that time, after which there shouldn't be any interaction with other supplements.
I've implemented your advice and it's working perfectly. I take the nmn when I wake up, take dogs to the beach and then go to the gym, I can already feel more stamina and manage more reps than usual. When I get home I take the vitamins, lions mane and l carnosine and no ill feeling at all. Its going good 😁
Hi @bomcdowell-kim9194, I was 67 when I started taking anti-aging supplements; I'm 71 now. It would be nice if there were supplements that can make us look younger than we are, if we start taking them late in life, but I haven't found any that do. What they seem to be able to do is slow down aging moving forward. So if someone is 50, and they start taking them, hopefully they can look around 50 for many years. But the supplements won't make them look 20 years old again. If you feel you have something to learn from the videos I make, feel free to keep watching them. If you don't, then feel free to watch other UA-cam channels instead. There are lots of good ones out there.

Are you concerned with the B3 Cvd and stroke issue in Nmn?...
Not really. The increased risk appears to be really tiny, and there are many benefits to counterbalance it (in my opinion).

Deborah, check out creatine if you are not using it yet. Well studied. Safe. Very effective! Good for your brain too. And cheap!!!

Nobody will answer. Can it cause cancer cells to rapidly multiply???
I am sorry to be rude but does anti-aging also include looking young? How come all these anti-aging gurus are old looking themselves?😮😮
You'd need to start these procedures young to retain the appearance. Chuando Tan seems to have achieved this.
