I am glad that there is a place like the World Horse Welfare to save and take care of all the beautiful horses I wish I had some land so I could adopt some of the wild and miss treated horses
Many of us, I'm sure, would love to receive updates on how his career is shaping up. We're just as proud as Stella to see Dippy thriving...period! Lovely story, lovely horse! 💕
If I lived in the UK and were younger, the only way I would get a horse is through World Horse Welfare. What an extraordinary opportunity they provide, not only for the horses but for those who love them. Brava!
Dippy was the absolute cutest foal I’ve ever seen. He is gorgeous and so talented. So glad Mom is okay and healthy. You’re a beautiful rider as well. So many thanks to all who rescue these great animals and help them thrive! ❤️
What’s surprising to me is how people DON’T see the potential in rehomed horses. I’ve been volunteering with a friend who rehabilitates and rehomes a LOT of horses, and a lot of them are just super wonderful! They go on to do eventing just fine. I’m sure in the right hands, many horses needing new homes could be very successful in the show ring. 😊
what a great success story. a wonderful rescue from a life of misery to a great future. nice riding by stella and a very talented natural jumper dippy. good times ahead!
What a lucky chap. So happy Mum was rescued before he was born so he never had to suffer. God bless you wonderful souls for saving these amazing animals
Gray horses (at least as far as I understand) do that: they can start out not looking gray at all, but get lighter with age! (in fact, most ‘white’ horses you see are actually grays that have lightened over the course of their lives)!
There is also an international rider (showjumping) that broke through with a horse that was supposed to be slaughtered and got rescued on the last moment. I don't remember his name but there is no such thing as a limit with these animals... stories like these prove that.
Actually, any color foal can turn grey if It carries the grey gene, (which is dominant). I’ve had black, bay and chestnut foals all go grey as long as at least one parent was grey. It’s fascinating to study the genetics of color in horses...
I don't know what it is like for white horses from other breeds, but all Lippizaner are born black. They turn white as they mature (this can take several years). So this is not unheard of.
gray horses actually begin as bays, which is that dark brown that he started out as! they begin to change color as they grow older. foals that were born a solid grey typically will turn black over time. horses are quite weird with their colorings.

That's what the grey gene does
lovely horse and all the best to Dippy and Stella for the up coming eventing season
My God what a gorgeous horse.
Dippy looks fantastic! Look at those alert ears!
I love the drone footage of their run. It really gives you an idea of the sweep of the countryside.
Wow! You guys are amazing!
What a wonderful, talented partnership! I would definitely love updates on his eventing career.
You guys do an amazing job
This really proves that any kind of horse can be a show star, no matter where they came from :)

What a cute little Colt 💙
What an amazing horse! I would love to work with rescues in the future when I have more time and experience. Keep doing what you're doing! 👍
he makes those jumps look easy.
So pleased for him. Horse and rider are so well suited. Is the mare still alive ? 🌹💟🌹
Is it just me that finds it weird that dark bay foals turn into greys
, and grey foals turn into black horses
Just me????
yeah i find that strange too, the color changing of foals is pretty amazing to watch

@Voracious Reader they're not all born black because they're not all grey they come in many colours
What does it mean to say a horse is "backed?" I've heard this in a number of your videos, but I can't puzzle out from context what it means. Thanks!
Should need a license to own a horse and to sell a horse.
👏👏👏✌️
im confused! I know horses can change colors but not this drasticly!!
Did anyone notice the horse was born black, did it turn white? Lol someone made a mistake
