Do you put anything on the rust before primer. Back in the day there was a product called ospho if I’m remembering correctly. It was supposed to neutralize the rust then we put the primer on. Just curious on your process. Thanks for the video!
I had a real bad experience with a product similar to ospho in the past it turned all the metal into like a white powder on the surface. If something is really rusty I spray it with a product called metalize but Normally a high quality epoxy primer seals stuff really good. Or acid etch primer bites into the metal really good.
Ah yes I remember the white residue that was left behind and I think I was to that when it was white that meant that the rust was then neutralized then we would go with a DuPont product called veriprime which was a metal etching primer, then applied the regular primer. I’m excited to see how that JD turns out fingers crossed it will be in my price range 🤞🏼 those ones are one of the best and highly sought after.
