It's so funny - I don't have a train set, I don't plan to ever get one, I don't build wooden house models, and FOS Scale Models are way over my budget. And yet, I have been watching your builds for years and still can't wait for your next video to be posted! I just somehow feel at home on your channel...lol I'm sure your kind personality has a lot to do with it, and of course, your unbelievable skill ... it's just so satisfying to watch yet another gem coming together...!!!
You have been most helpful to this "not very artistic person" in showing ways to paint and weather. My only problem, well one of them, is that there must be someone who owns one of the stores or buildings on your layout that would like to have a new coat of paint that makes their shop/business standout. i know that it will have to blend in a little, but my problem is not making it stand out too much. If you understand where I am coming from. I do enjoy your videos.
Congrats on two years selling kits Jason! Another great grouping of structure kits. Very creative use of different siding types. Did some experiments with making scribing brick into chip board (with the laser) a few years ago. Worked well, but the chip board warps like crazy. Thought about using 1mm thick acrylic sheet, but I may have to give illustration or matte board (which is what I think you used??) a try. Regarding windows and doors... Spent the better part of the end of this week 3D printing custom windows for my S scale projects (I model Maine prototype 2' models in Sn2, which uses HOn3 track). They came out GREAT!!! If you have a 3D printer in house, you should give printing your windows and doors a try. I've been able to print the mullions down to 0.016"/0.4mm square, which is near scale for S and though a tad heavy for HO, would still look good. Give it a shot.
I love your kits. I am a new builder. N Scale, my area is very limited so my little layout is just a mere 2’ x4’. I think you may even have n scale models for me to try. Love your style indeed.
What a beautifully designed kit for a charming row of shops. Almost wish I could use them somehow! (But, although we do get some clapboard buildings this side of the pond, they're mainly I think in SE England, and sadly the kit is the wrong scale for me.) Congratulations on the 2 year anniversary.
Great kit. Speaking as an architect though: it’s uncommon (as in almost never happen) that there’s a brick facade on the second level unless there is brick or stone on the first. There’s too much weight from the bricks for the wooden structure underneath to carry it
I was thinking the same thing... I'm not an architect though! But I refrained from mentioning it because I've made similar comments about things in Jason's builds and I don't want to seem nitpicky or overly critical.
@@jbergenudd I definitely go for an artistic feel and never get hung up on how things should look. My layout is basically a giant canvas painting! Thanks for watching!!!

Wow Jason!!! I love this kit! I wish you offered O scale😢 I can understand that there's probably not enough of us O scalers for it to make dollars and sense for you. Definitely jelly tho lol
Hi Jason Another great tutorial and fantastic looking new kit. I’m in Portugal and buying from here adds almost prohibitive customs charges and sales taxes. None the less I purchase from the US occasionally and recently have invested in some of Dougs kits. Fos shippings costs are 50% of yours though. I assume this is automated. Have a look at your EU shipping costs and see if you can do something😊
I have not been working on my layout in a while now but this kit just pumped me up and will be buying it and will carve me a place for it. Is the kit available now??? This kit is beautiful and will fit just perfect in the place I want it. A superior job and video as always. Just order from your website??? Merry Christmas.

QUESTION: Why did you use Super Glue only in one place on the roof? Also, wonder how hard would it be to add a Floor between the lower and upper story?
@@lynnmccurdythehdmmrc2561 The cardboard had curled a little bit from the Elmer’s glue when I glued the tarpaper on it. The super glue held it down instantly. You could add a floor easily , you may have to cut the floor around the bracing but it could be done.

I would guess that your structures are suitable for the 1930s. Have you considered making some that would be suitable for the 1950s or later?
