    Best defensive first player I ever saw.
    His fielding against the bunt was "edge of the seat" excitement.
    One of my favorite players of all time.

      One of the best. There was this other guy who was just as good. They call him "Donny baseball". Strawberry recently said that Keith and Donny are the best he ever saw.

    I listened or watched or closely analyzed every game from 1984 to 1986. What a period to be a met fan. Game 6 in Houston for NLCS in '86 was The Best.

      Holy crap that must have been funny. When they said a relatively large umpire, I first thought of Big John McSherry. But I’m happy to hear Eric Gregg because he was a great guy and always had a great sense of humor on the field.

    I got married on October 11,1986 at 4:00pm. A family and friends bleed blue and orange Met fans. We honeymooned at the Princess Hotel in Acapulco. No TVs in the rooms. He and I watched the infamous Sox/Mets game in the conference room on a Navy tv station. We were the only people in the room. My tush was burned from an afternoon by the pool so sitting was not an option lol but we had see our Mets. We got home for the winning game and watched with our friends/family in our small but comfy condo. We divorced 12 years and two children later but our love for the Mets and that day lives on through our children. Thank you Keith for your leadership, talent, commitment for the game, staying in NY and the view from behind first base. 💙🧡💙🧡

      “The White Rat” was banishing Keith to the Mets, which at that time was MLB’s version of Siberia. Instead, Keith helped turn around the organization and in the process became the quintessential New Yorker.

    Been paying an annual membership for years to watch my team. It's disappointing that MLB isn't smart enough to figure this out. For example, I live in DE 1 hour south of Citizens Bank park in philly, If my home team is the NYM and they're playing Philly in NEW YORK they blackout the game. wtf. It's unreasonable to drive 5-1/2 hours to go to a game. They black it out just because I live near the philly ballpark. Makes no sense. Additionally, only 8-11K can even attend any stadium due to covid 19 restrictions. You think they would at least give us a break this year for that reason. I get it if NYM are in Philly, as I could easily go to the game. Does anybody out there feel the same way? Does it make sense? I hope someone from MLB reads this and has an "aha" moment and realizes how stupid their blackout restriction rule is.

    • @TL2354
      @TL2354 3 роки тому

      It’s not where the game is, they blackout the local team. Any with 0.0000002% of a brain knows that
