It probably sounds weird, but my favorite part of all these builds is when you make a beautiful round head screw and then blue it. I imagine it has a wonderful tactile feel in the hand.
This video just inspired the sentence 'There's just no end of cleverbollocksing when Chris is around' to rise and be spontaneously emitted with no conscious intent from me. It's crude, but it's fair. I've decided I like it.
Brilliant a new Clickspring video and one from Diagnose Dan as well. Perfect start to the tellybox evening. What would make these better is some comments about the grade of steel or brass being used and the tooling speeds and feeds etc. Cheers, looking forward to the next one already.
Chris, that roofers flashing aluminium is super useful. I’ve used a lot for the edge flashing when making fibreglass moulds. Hot glue on, and allows a bit of conformability. Sadly not available on the NZ catalogue from the same big brand, or anywhere commonly in the Netherlands (where I’m currently based). Seems specific to Aussie housing building techniques
I find it fantastic that you haven’t been tempted to upgrade your metalworking machines unless you are holding out for a super precise Tornos CT Swiss machining center.
every time I watch one of these videos I keep thinking how fiddly and fussy every is, then you see the end product and yep, totally worth all that fiddly fussiness.
Thank you for yet another fascinating video. your workmanship is out of this world. I would like to ask how you controlled the work when using the scroll saw. I never have much luck on mine with metal.
I love it how other makers start saying things like "it's not clickspring level finish, but still good enough" !
I heard that in Artisan Makes and it made my day! Quality work mate!!
Turning the stock into workholding for the piece you just cut off is a great trick, I must remember it.
Why is so cool to watch the screw change colors

I've been a subscriber from the sceleton clock days. So have seen a fair share of screws made, and it never gets old.

The attention to detail is astounding. As always, thanks for sharing.
Cant wait to see the finished product. Its been a wild ride.
I saw Clickspring uploaded everything else stopped, even my dinner got excused to see this while my dinner is staying warm in the oven!!
Can’t wait to see the final product!
Watching you gives me ideas of how to use my own hobbyist lathe, although I need to get more tools for it.
Clickspring video just saved my day!!

Today i learned that clickspring is an actual thing 😄 thanks for the great series, its been amazing to follow the journey and see a master at work ❤
Perfect timing Chris, just started lunch break 👌🏼
Most Cathartic Videographer of the Year goes to (again) . . . Clickspring! (Gracias for the “Miles Away” by Dreem)
Fantastic addition to my morning thank you
Chris, always absolutely amazing.
👍🏻👍🏻👏👏🏆
I watch your video's like a Hollywood blockbuster!
Ahh mate... thats Bonza! Can't wait to see it finished after all these years.
You are genius brother. You are legend

Love watching you work.
Awesome stuff, See you all again in a couple of weeks 👍🏻
So satisfying it should carry a 'Parental Advisory' warning.
I would love to see when you completely finished turning this series into a documentary. Chris, this by far is absolutely amazing
Blown away every time.
Clicked this shit on reflex, no thoughts
Christmas came early!❤
Yay, another distraction worth watching.
Hurrah!

Another solid banger
THANK YOU. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Mind blowing!

Very nice work.
gorgeous
G'day Chris
The only thing I don't like about your videos is when they are finished.
Amazing

These videos are so good I press like three times.
“Seconds ago” ❤
It sounds like this sun dial is gonna be almost as accurate as the atomic clock with how much precision you have going on here.
Love the way he says "mechanism"
Bravo
I hope this device sells at auction one day for a bajillion dollars. So much better than the utter crap that people pay millions for!
Brilliant as always. I wonder if you would mind adding to your consumable list where you got the assorted tapered pin selection please.
www.cousinsuk.com/category/gauged-sets-of-clock-pins - Cheers :)

На это можно смотреть вечно)
👌👌👌
Great video. Just wondering, the pin at 10:30 , is it tapered?
What do you do with all those scraps and shavings?
👍😎
What's the name for those little reamers? Or did you make those somewhere along the line?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Will this sundial have a motto?
Find someone who cares about you like Chris cares about that blue screw.
Can i buy a bag of those screws, I dont want to do anything with them , i just want to look at them on my desk?
Absolutely insane that rich people will spend millions on jewelry before funding cool projects like this
This is better than jewelry!
Mmhmmm
