We had such a great time in Leiria - the castle is wonderful, as are the many excellent value midday meal options! 😃😋 Thank you for your comment, Paulo! We're so pleased you enjoyed this video of your lovely home town! 😃😁 ~ Mandy
Thanks so much. Portugal really does have some amazing castles. We never thought we'd see so many when we first came here. Next will be the Knights Templar stronghold at Tomar. 😁. Keep an eye out for that video! Cheers 👍~ Lee
Thank you 🙏 We love Leiria and the silver coast in general. We spent so much time in the region and will return for further house sits so will be making more videos here. ❤️🇵🇹
❤ loved this video. I remember seeing the castle on our bus to Nazare last year. I want to take my neice to a castle and I think this is it! Thank you.
It is a really interesting castle to visit not too far from you. If you go in the summer months you'll get to see the free falconry show which is great. 👍
What a frugal day - free funicular and then only €2.50 for the castle - that's my kind of day! A well deserved 7000 subscribers - won't be long before it's up to 10,000!! Enjoyed the video as usual, looking forward to seeing more of your adventures :-) Andrew.
Thank you Andrew. It was a perfect frugal day out. Once again Portugal delivers in great places to visit for amazing value for money. We're still on the move and there will be more to come. Keep on frugalling! 😁~ Lee
Thank you for your lovely comment, Tamara! I absolutely love my orange cardigan... best €1 I ever spent. The market in Cascais is absolutely brilliant... I went to one in Leiria at a later date, and it also looked interesting! 😃😁 ~ Mandy
Thank you so much, Carolina. It is a very atmospheric place and wandering around there with it virtually to ourselves was a really special moment. It felt like we had stepped back in time and wanted to portray that feeling. 😊. We love discovering these less visited gems where the tourist crowds haven't reached. Happy to share it with you. 😍🏰😍
You are most welcome. We loved our visit to Leiria and are pleased to show its special places. We hope to return. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🙏😊 ~ Lee
Thx Lee & Mandy for showing us the castle that we’ve been told by Victor, our driver, to visit. He also spoke about the churches you pointed out. I agree that there is more to see there than one would think. Your videography is excellent.
Thank you so much for the kind comment Sandy. It's thanks to you guys we ended up seeing Leiria. Agreed it is a very interesting place to visit and worth a day trip or two. Portugal keeps delivering plenty of surprises and we feel so lucky to be here. 😍 ~ Lee
