She wants criminals to be freed to create new victims. She should be dealt with as one of those criminals IMO. If I lost a loved one or watched as a guilty person was set free by one of these efforts, I'd be looking for payback.

When you mentioned Jones' alibi, where his family says he was home at the time, you forgot to mention that 2 of Jones' attorneys signed sworn affidavits saying that he admitted to them that he wasn't home at the time, and the alibi was a lie. He also sent his girlfriend a threatening letter from prison trying to get her to change her story. As far as the "2 inches of hair", that's been debunked repeatedly. She wasn't saying his hair was two inches thick, she was saying it went down two inches below his stocking cap, which is consistent with Julius' hairstyle at the time of the murder.

There are no sworn affidavits by Julius' court appointed attorneys saying his alibi was not what his family said. David McKenzie was just a piss poor excuse of a defense attorney and didn't present a case to defend Julius. He never even consulted or talked to Julius.
Also the description was that the shooter had a red bandana over his face and a half of an inch of hair sticking out of his stocking cap and his height was abt 5'6 to 5'8. (Julius is 6ft tall) Julius took a mugshot 9 days before the murder showing he didn't even have a centimeter of hair long enough to be sticking out of any kind of cap. There were two mugshot pics taken of him both before and after the murder. Chris Jordan had loose corn rows and side burns on his face and he is abt 5'8. He had hair that would've been sticking out of a stocking cap. Julius did not. That matches the description of the shooter, not Julius. Get your facts right.
@@isislaz lol... Go and read the CCOA of Oklahoma January 27, 2006 decision. Jones' attorneys testified under oath at the evidentiary hearing that Jones had advised them he was not at home at the time of the murder and that his parents were mistaken. Jones had an opportunity to deny these claims at the time and did not. It's all documented in the court's decision, along with Jones' own girlfriend giving testimony against him.

You're mistaken. She did not say his hair was "sticking out", read the transcript! The witness said she saw a 1/2" to 1" of his hair below the stocking cap.
Exactly. This just means he didn’t have his stocking cap pulled down so far that it covered his entire hairline. She has said this in interviews and it’s entirely consistent with what she said at trial.

Not because of the description but literally every piece of evidence including DNA evidence that links him to the bandana and is not a match for Christopher Jordan's DNA. The bandana that was found in Julius Jones' room wrapped in the ballistics confirmed murder weapon that was also linked to him the summer prior by his girlfriend who found it in his glove box and the mechanic who worked on his vehicle and found the gun, with the banana, and panty hose. He also used the same gun, same bandana in 2 previous robberies and a car jacking that Julius Jones himself plead guilty to.
Sounds like another situation where the guy on death row is being adopted by rich celebrities or media companies despite tons of compelling evidence that they are in fact guilty. See also: Rodney Reid, and Kevin Cooper.
I'd like to see an analysis of what causes celebrities to do this kind of stuff in the first place.

The MOST guilty person I have ever seen in my whole life, has escaped justice. Our system is a scam.
I wouldn't go as far as to say that. He now is serving life without parole His clemency hearing is over and he will never get another crack at it unless the Oklahoma voters decide to amend their constitution, which is VERY unlikely. Even the governor was unable to grant him the possibility of parole because of the state constitution. Jones is now out of appeals and clemency hearings, so he's going to die in prison. On top of that, he will now be in the general population and no the isolated death row, and being a fully inducted Blood he is going to have to be a LOT more careful. Who knows how he'll fare in there, but he's not getting out.

Great work, fairly objective. Just a few points to note ...
1. The apprent "racial slurs" were the use of the word "prowl".. and all other evidence is non existent. Not that it should change anything.
2. Julius never made the claim of the racist threat until the latest "documentary"
3. The hair was referring to the hair outside of his cap... this is congruent with her story and NOT suspicious or contradictory at all.

It was just cold-blooded murder. The keys had already been handed over. The man was just enjoying time with his family and didn't want any trouble. So many jackings end in murder because the criminals in question have little to no self-control and are full of hatred and anger.

Also, the GF testimony counters the families.
And the testimony from one of the individuals Julius tried selling the car to included the story of the daughter waving at Julius before he shot.
Something it would have been impossible for him to know at the time if not for Julius telling him as the daughter had not told that event at the time.
Doing a further deep dive only solidifies Julius's guilt.
Also 12 different appeal reviews have gone over the evidence and denied the appeals. The guy is dead to rights even on a cursory examination of the evidence.

I heard a different narrative, a critical point: the shooter didn’t “demand” anything. He simply walked up and shot him in the head as he was opening the door!

I really like how Dr. Grande tells us whether he thinks someone is guilty in reality and then if he thinks they’re guilty according to the law. It’s interesting because the two aren’t always the same so I enjoy listening to the case from these perspectives.

you missed the part about the victims sister identifying julius. she was very clear on which of the two suspects pulled the trigger. she was clear and never changed her story. the daughter said she waved to him as he approached the car which Julius later confessed to whoever he was going to sell the car to. that makes it open and shut beyond s reasonable doubt imo

Jones is guilty. No doubt about it. It's amazing anyone could think anything else. Especially with all the evidence. It's overwhelming. Not to mention he was found guilty by a jury of his peers.

I haven't watched it yet but I get from: the different stories the family tells, the fact the witnesses that were involved said he was at least in the car but his family lying and saying he was at home, the fact they're pushing a "racist" narrative which has nothing to do with his guilt or innocence, and the fact celebrities and BLM groups are behind the protests just proves the motives behind everyone's involvement to pressure the Republican governor whom of course they'll no doubt lable "racist" or "white supremacists" if he doesn't stop the execution, him reading from a script and lack of any new evidence says the man is guilty!

My problem here is that only one man really did the time. I'm convinced Julius was a participant, but more like 70/30 that he pulled the gun, which falls short of reasonable doubt. That being said, I don't think either man should have gotten away with serving just 15 years and both really should have gotten life, regardless of who fired the gun.

If you bring a loaded gun with you during the commission of a theft, and someone is shot and killed, you and your getaway driver should be charged criminally with murder / accessory to murder. I love that we have a high bar for burden of proof, but the investigators/ prosecutors sullied themselves trying to cinch the deal. When, IMO, the evidence stood on its own without either of the two testifying and getting deals from the prosecutors
I’m not sure it would have if Julius had an alibi and there was no proof of him at the scene. Either way I agree they should have made the case without involving such highly suspect criminals . Sounds like with his defence not putting on a defence - he would have been convicted without these two testifying

Hate to say it, but I think this is a rare case where immediately asking for an attorney actually *hurt* the suspect. It sounds to me like the police legitimately weren't sure who the gunman was and were looking to offer the first person who rolled a surprisingly great deal. I'm sure beyond a reasonable doubt that Julius was on the scene and a participant, but more like 70/30 (well short of beyond a reasonable doubt) that he fired the gun. Had Julius gone straight for a deal as merely an accessory, but not the gunman, he may well have gotten one. But you're right, I think in cases like this the prosecutors really shouldn't allow someone who is in reality just as responsible for a murder as the gunman to serve just 15 years.

What you’re referring to is 100% a thing. If someone dies during a felony (including co-conspirators), anyone involved can be charged with 1st degree murder. So this guy is guilty regardless.

Celebrities need to keep their noses out of things that they don't understand. Fair trial or not he is legitimately guilty and must face the consequences of his actions.
Sarada, I agree with you for the most part because I think in popular culture today, many celebrities attach themselves to high profile cases because of the publicity it brings to them over any good it will do for the person they are supposed to be advocating for. That said, perhaps one of the first times a celebrity took this stance was when Bob Dylan released the song 'Hurricane' in 1975, over 45 years ago, that documented the facts about the conviction of the champion, middleweight boxer, Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter and his friend who were arrested for a triple murder that happened in a bar in New Jersey. Carter had been in prison claiming his innocence since his arrest in 1966 and would eventually have his conviction overturned in 1985 at the age of 48. Because Prosecutors, for the most part though not always, are elected officials, how they are percieved in dealing with justice and more importantly perhaps, injustice, can be a career breaker. Dylan's song in and of itself did not secure Carter's release but he had a huge following among young voters and certainly raised public awareness and pressure from the public for Carter to be exonerated. So, this was a case of a celebrity inserting himself into a situation but doing something proactive to encourage the prosecutors and the public to take a closer look at what seemed, and in fact was, a complete travesty of justice and false arrest. Dylan set the bar high at a time when there was none of the technology enabling social media and communications that exist today. He used his head as well as his name. It is a pity these younger celebrities are unable to look back and see that this is one of the better ways of helping someone if you insist in becoming involved. Dylan most certainly did not have any personal agenda other than to get the song out there. I agree with you though about the outcome of this case and think this guy is where he should be, behind bars!

@@hannak3233 Actually you are mistaken. Kim Kardashian has taken her first year 'baby bar' exam twice (in 2018 and 2020) and failed it and can not commence with her law studies without passing it. She plans to take it again in 2022 but at this moment she holds no legal qualifications whatsoever. I don't know if your comment is directed towards me or the person who made the original comment. I do not claim to have a law degree myself which, last time I looked was not a prerequisite to making a comment on this channel or any channel. I merely made the generalisation that if celebrities insert themselves into the publicity surrounding a high-profile criminal case that may involve a wrongful conviction, that they do it for the right reasons and that their subsequent actions in the matter reflect this as was the case with Bob Dylan in the Rubin Carter case. It should never be a personal attention seeking and falsely altruistic intrusion only to shed light on themselves more than anything else and there are certainly high profile people who do this in all kinds of situations. Attention by proxy!

Wikepedia defines it as follows: 'Celebrity is a condition of fame and broad public recognition of an individual or group as a result of the attention given to them by mass media.' So, technically Bob does fit the bill although if he heard me saying it he would cut my nose off. 😂 I am just trying to make the point that you need to be a person with integrity first and celebrity second if you are going to insert yourself into a situation like this. If you are being truly altruistic and using your status to connect with important people who can help with the particular case then that's a way of turning your celebrity status into a tool for doing good without hoping it will ultimately shine a light on you for the world to see.

No. DNA testing, using more advanced techniques than were available prior to Jones' trial, revealed there was a partial DNA profile with a major contributor and at least two other possible minor contributors. The DNA of the major contributor matched Jones with a probability of 1 in 110 million. Jordan was not matched to either the major or minor components of the partial DNA profile. No conclusions could be made about the minor contributors because of degradation and allelic dropout. Just say you're a liar and move on, bro.

He never played any collegian sport, he failed out of OU after receiving a GPA of .86 after the first semester, he wasn't on his way to return for a sophomore year. None of his DNA was at the crime scene. He is innocent.
He shouldn’t be on death row without another appeal. I think he’s guilty but it’s pretty clear that the state stacked the jury against him and screwed his defense purposely. Whether or not Julius Jones is guilty is not really the issue at hand in my opinion, it’s the precedent that’s set if we allow this kind of horrible “law” to be practiced.
I think something that a lot of people have difficulty coming to terms with is the idea that everyone deserves a fair trial and a strong legal defense, and that the end result of a trial is that you are found either guilty or *not guilty* and not guilty is not the same thing as innocent.
I wrote a paper in college regarding death row juries and the bias in jurors and if that violates the rights of the person being accused. Unfortunately it’s a real thing. Prosecutors try to tailor jury’s to the best of their abilities to get a guilty verdict and the death penalty. Studies have shown that black people and religious people generally oppose the death penalty. So when they are screening jurors they generally will try and cut them out, and anyone who opposes the death penalty. Unfortunately, that leaves mostly white men because they are the population generally for the death penalty. The question is does this violate the accused’s rights? And in my opinion it does. First, there is not supposed to be any discrimination based on race or religion. And secondly, there is supposed to be a trial by jury of your peers. When they state peers, that generally means a population of people who have the general mind set of the public. So when these prosecutors are tailoring the juries to basically fit a mind set, and discriminating against certain races and religions, that to me is a violation of the accused persons rights.

I started watching this dude like a month ago and it’s taken me up until now to see all the sick burns he is always handing out. He hardly changes his tone and inflection when he is dropping a burn so they can be easily missed by if you’re paying attention you can’t miss them. Oh and his analysis videos are awesome too lol.

She is currently in a 3 year law program and was required to take an exam following her first year called the "baby" bar exam in order to be eligible to sit for the actual bar. She admitted on her show that she has failed it twice and is currently on her third attempt.

Additionally, Julius Jones's girlfriend identified the gun that she found in his car (the same gun was found by a mechanic, along with a carjacking kit), and Jonee claimed it was his gun he used for protection. Julius Jones also plead guilty to a car jacking with the same MO, that occurred within a week of the shooting of Paul Howell.

The Daughter saw her father get murdered by Juilius Jones, she described what Julius was wearing even down to the red bandana and white T-shirt. He's guilty plain and simple.
Correction and the witness explained this in court and in an interview years later.
She never claimed the shooter had a half an inch of hair sticking out of the skull cap. They even asked her in court if she knew what cornrows were and if the shooter had cornrows and she said she knew and the shooter did not have cornrows.
The half an inch she described was the space between the scull cap and his ear where his hair was visible. Not the length of his hair.
I learned about this because Kim Kardashian said Freejulius LOL... The man was a criminal with a long criminal sheet. Free nothing. He killed a man, kill him... Period!

The half inch below the stocking cap is here describing side burns, this was covered in the trial in cross examination, she describes a half inch of hair between the bottom of his ear and the stocking cap, she was asked additional questing to clarify. His alibi included a teacher who provided documents that showed the "dinner" was the day before the incident, and were advised not to use the alibi because of this. You didn't mention the letters he sent to his girlfriend threatening her to not testify and to tell the police she didn't know anything.

This is most detailed explanation I've found yet. I've read several articles and only have gotten bits and pieces.
You can have a poor defense yet still be guilty as sin like this kid was. The defense rested because they knew it was an open and shut case and pointless. The fact Dr Grande claims there is a reasonable doubt when the evidence is overwhelming just makes him lose all credibility sorry.
I thought it was just a little lazy. Taking in news reports from both sides instead of primary evidence.
But when you look at the evidence the prosecutors bring vs the defense, the case is pretty open and shut, especially with the DNA evidence, which I found the direct results of.
I'm kinda surprised convicted felons can serve on juries in the US.

The last few years there has been a push to change it, but as far as I remember around half the states still bar felons from serving on a jury, the other half have certain requirements. Here in Cali they changed the law last year- felons can serve if they have served and completed their sentence including completion of probation or parole and no one on the sex registry can serve. I believe Maine is the only state where felons can serve without restrictions
Yes but apparently in this case only if you're white. The black jurors who had criminal records were not allowed to serve. Talk about stacking the jury in a trial involving three black men!
@@fuzzyfriendsrescuevoluntee3036 Thank you, I am Irish and we have a slightly different system here although if you have a criminal record and are called for jury duty you are meant to recuse yourself from the outset. I am not entirely sure how prospective jurors are selected but I am 56 and have been called up for jury duty three times in my life but never actually served because the panel was filled before I was needed, I am glad to say. The other thing you are asked to recuse yourself for is if you have any relationship with or any knowledge of the person who is about to stand trial. You would be surprised in District courts here how often the accused is known to a potential juror in some way! The comment I made here was in direct reference to what Dr Grande said about the jury selection for this trial and I am quoting directly here. 'During jury selection the prosecution eliminated a number of jurors who were black for reasons like, having been the victim of a crime or having committed a crime. The prosecution did not apply the same standard to those who were white, for example, one white juror had two felony convictions'. So you kind of have to wonder how that happened? Thanks for the explanation btw. Oh, I got my two dogs from a rescue a year ago. Love them to bits 💕💕
@@dearbh1736 It's not that they weren't "allowed" to serve, they were challenged by the prosecution and removed. Both sides' lawyers question potential jurers and can then have them removed from the jury without giving a reason.
I watched this process myself a couple of weeks ago when I was in the jury pool but never actually called to sit in the jury box. One potential juror was a serving police officer; he was asked several innocuous questions by the defence lawyers, then removed, which wasn't surprising to me, or probably anyone present in the court.

Its extremely common for the families of these criminals to always claim they were with them, they were home, they were in bed sleeping, yet strangely enough none of them ever go so far as to get on the stand since they know their testimony would be torn apart and they could face perjury charges. If my child was ever accused of a capitol crime, and REALLY was home with me eating dinner when it happened, I would stop at nothing until I had my day in court to tell everyone and I would give every detail down to what we ate, the dishes we used, the exact time of dinner, the weather outside, etc. Its a common ploy...exactly same thing with the shooting of Darren Goforth. the mother of the shooter said he was with her "shopping" to give him an alibi but would not go on record and never formally stated this under oath when the time came.

Check Actual Justice Warriors video about Julius. It mentions a few key details that tend to get left out which definitely can change someone's mind.
Although I think Julius was involved in this crime, his trial was exceedingly unfair. This case serves to highlight how criminal activity is effective in bringing destruction into people’s lives. What started as robbery, quickly turned into murder and the next thing you know he is on death row.
There is no way to predict who will and who won’t be treated fairly by the justice system, hence the only thing we can control is our own behavior.

I am more outraged by the light sentences given to the co-conspirators than by the death penalty for Julius Jones.
Light sentences? For who, Chris "WESTSIDE!" Jordan, he got 30 years and served 15.He was a model inmate and did everything that he was supposed to and got credit for time equaling 30 year served based on Oklahoma Corrections calculations.
He cooperated with the state and turned state evidence.

You need to reread the details about the description of the hair carefully. She did not say the hair was sticking out that far she said that's how much hair she could see under the cap. His hair was short but several inches of it were exposed at the bottom of the cap.

As a former criminal investigator, who investigated and provided like evidence to both prosecution and defense, I can tell you it is hard enough to get a conviction just based off evidence (with no confession). However, based on what was found and where it was found, purposefully hidden (intent), and just everything wrapped together in a picture book of the case….reads like Julius most likely did it. However, defense lawyers are notorious for bringing up EVERY discrepancy, every possibility that the person didn’t do it…..and that usually is cause enough to say there is reasonable doubt. That should have been the bar the prosecutors, and evidence, had to surpass without any doubt. Remember “If the glove don’t fit, you have to acquit”? That defense move in the OJ case sticks in the minds of a lot of prosecutors of that time and the defense team in this case seemingly failed to play ball.
My problem with all of the celebrities jumping on board is….they, like many Americans, ignore the “other people”. No race, no color…..justice should be for every person falsely accused of imprisoned…..not just a select random few. It’s like the girl who was just found dead in Wyoming…….all assets, FBI, helicopters, national news coverage, but what about the 700+ indigenous children reported missing from 2010-2020 in Wyoming and Montana? What celebrity voice is demanding justice for our missing, killed and trafficked children?
Solution: Get involved. Be open minded and impartial. Have compassion for your fellow man. And seek peace. If we don’t, there will be war……and if you think “defund the police” is bad…….go to war and if you survive….come back and tell me you want more.
I pray for the outcome that is just. Only God and Julius know the real….entire truth. God be with you all!

Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals held evidentiary hearing on all of these matters and found there was no procedural error
It's frustrating but understandable that he got some of the information wrong in this video. This case is a bit of a mess. I think he's 100% guilty. He should at minimum, be in prison for life. I don't think he should be killed though.

Ugh don't remind me. Here in California they changed the law last year. Felons can serve if they have completed their sentence as well as any probation or parole. You still can't if you're on the sex registry, thank god for that.

You have not mentioned important thing. Jones had two lawyers, one resigned. On the other hand, both defenders under oath testified that alibi of Jones about eating cookies with his family was untrue and Jones said it to them.
It's a travesty that the trial was so slanted against him even if he does appear to be guilty. The justice system is pointless if sham trials like this can happen with no recourse.
