- In today's video I wanted to share how I made low calorie Naan bread. It was so easy and turned out delicious! Only 89 calories a piece.
My recipe:
Sift 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, a sprinkle of garlic powder and some salt in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup non-fat greek yogurt (I used Fage). Mix with a wooden spoon until combined. Sprinkle counter top with a dusting of flour and place dough on top. Nead until smooth, adding flour if needed. Let dough rest for about 5 minutes. Cut dough into 4 pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Then, using a rolling pin, roll out the dough into oval shapes. Be careful not to roll too thin. Spray a skillet lightly with cooking spray and heat two Naan in the skillet at a time. When bubbles form on top, flip them over and heat on the other side until golden brown. Each Naan is 89 calories. Enjoy!
