Kumbura won my affection the day of the heavy rains, when she positioned herself in the middle of rushing waters, anxiously protecting Khanyisa and Timisa, guiding them to safety...Amazing footage!! Kumbura ROCKS! Also loved seeing her + Khanise having fun at the Mud Spa! 💞🐘💞🐘💞
Sending u prayers for abundant blessings of Peace, Protection, Provision and Joy! 💞💖💞 Know your hardships are + will cont. to be blessings of comfort to others and will renew you from within! Love + Light along your journey! 🎆
All it took was one little Elephant to bring Kumbura out of her shell & now she is an excellent “Helicopter Mom”. Every one of the females have showered Khanyisa with love in some special way. (Bulls too!) What an amazing Herd you have Adine. ❤️
This has got to be one of my all time favorites of Kumbura and Little K! Kumbura gave Khanyisa exactly what she needed ...to feel loved and protected! All the things Kumbura probably lacked in her life before Herd....she gave to this little one! Unconditional love at its finest! Kumbura not only succeeded at helping little K thrive...but she gained much respect from the older cows for her unwavering efforts! This bond is deep...and the most beautiful in the herd showcasing Love and dedication. Heartwarming affection! Thank you Herd!!!!! Kumbura will be a excellent mother one day.....
Elephants are such amazing and beautiful creatures. Intelligent, loving and loyal. The way the herd has accepted all her orphans and given them a home and family is so wonderful. We think only us humans can have such feelings for each other but this group is such a close and tight knit family that protects and loves it's members. It is a joy to watch them every day
Even a friend I had once who never learnt to read could tell me how 🐘 s loved their family members and always took care of them whatever happened. I do hope little Phabeni finds his mum or gets to the rest of this herd soon. 😊 Feet forward little boy. Hope he drinks more milk and gets bigger so he can fight on.
I hereby make the recommendation that Kumbura R.Jabulani, of the tribe of Loxodanta Africana and member of the HERD located in Hoedspruit, LP, be inducted forthwith into the South Africa Special Forces- 5th Regiment of the Province of Limpopo for her exceptional service to the much beloved beloved Khanyisa R. Jabulani 🐘From the very moment the two became acquainted, Kumbura has never left her side and continues to be an outstanding allomother, friend and guardian. Given this day, September 22, 2022. And sealed with a trunkful of love! 💘🐘😉😂
I love elephants. They’re so loving, intelligent and family oriented. Fascinating to watch. I’m happy those young ellies will have a safe, secure, happy life in that beautiful herd. 💕🐘
Kumbura is such a caring young female elephant. She has been such an asset to the Herd elephants. She deserves the love and support that all the elephants have given her. Both the humans and the elephants should be very proud of her.
And Meisiekind is a cute tiny tusker. I remember this flooding and Kumbura made sure Timi and little Braveheart got to safety. I have to admit I was nervous watching the swift waters that day.
Khanyisa gave Kumbura the chance to show what a good mother she can be . She is a truly valuble member of the herd. Jabulani is a herd that shows what love can acomplish
Elephants have an uncanny ability to avoid stepping on both each other and their human family even Khanyisa knows exactly how to manuveur herself when Adine lies down and Sunshine stands directly over her and she avoids stepping on her it’s pretty amazing. They can also do the same thing when they intend to step somewhere specific so I think it’s truly something innate as it wasn’t anything Miesiekind had to be shown or taught by the herd she knew it instinctively going back to where she was a tiny little girl.
Kumbura found her place in the herd when this compellingly charming and brave orphan arrived. The love that Khanyisa evokes from us all is remarkable. We love her and this herd of orphans for their ability to love and adapt despite their hardships. That goes for the Carers who walked them into SA and Adine for accepting them. The world could learn much from their example. Thank you for being part of my life❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Some are just so full hearted that they are supreme in knowing the nuisances of everyone's personalities, and therefore egos. Even with humans, who I believe she doesn't trust, kumbura is aware of the politics in the social Herd hierarchy. Her sensitivity is astounding even for a elephant. Her love is what sets her apart. She would I believe sacrifice herself for either khanysia or Timisa. I'm so glad kumbura was found and is with the Herd. Adine will always ensure her well being.
I love the scene where Khanyisa laid down and three of the ‘force field’ surrounded her to keep her safe. Elephants are so incredibly fascinating, intelligent and loving. I love them!!❤❤❤
Kumbura is so sweet! She's such a pretty elephant, and she quite looks like Khanyisa in her features! I rewatch Khanyisa's introduction to the herd every now and then, on days I need something to feel wonderful in my heart!
I was studying Kumbura’s physical characteristics. She has nice, long hair on her tail. Her tusks are fairly symmetrical. Her ears are in good shape. She has a sharp angle at the top of her head. Her trunk is always active, and she seems quite talkative. It looks like she tries to be in constant contact with Khanyisa via, sound, sight, touch, presence. I can look for her in future videos. That’ll be fun.

Every day I get to see what magnificent beauty there is in Africa. This is my morning coffee. THIS is the best part of waking up. Thank you all at HERD. I can't say it enough. You are our heroes. I know you have MY heart. If I ever get my tea company going, I will donate to the FULLEST. My heros, thank you.
I don't think they can have babies. Because of S.A. laws, if someone has a role in the well being of a Herd, then they must put the Herd on contraceptives. S.A. authorities don't want them breeding in this sort of scenario. However, about a half a year ago, Adine started talking about re Wilding them. Is that happens, then I think they will all start breeding.
@@jamesfreeman2258 and my heart will break. I love being able to watch them. Also I believe they are quite happy with their lives. They have after all never known a wild life. Plus they are so well protected now and wouldn’t be kept safe from predators at night and such if they are sent to be wild. We can’t call it re-wild because most of them were never wild and those that were it was when they were babies and like us may have limited memories of that experience. So, I don’t think they are longing to live wild. They get to go wherever they want on the reserve now and are never in fear of going without food or water. They are safe at night. I don’t want them pushed into some kind of new life. The females would lose good friends and the males have never been without females.
Kumbura is so caring towards little Khanysia ❤️ them both. Was especially pleased to see the three musketeers together Kumbura, Timisa and Khanysia…. there was even a little bit of kick action from Timi too 🤣🤣 what a delightful video - thank you 🙏 xx
