  • The magnificently versatile Australian tenor, Gregory Dempsey, performed an incredibly large number of roles during his long career on the operatic stage. His repertoire included the operas of Wagner, Janacek and Britten along with the standard French and Italian roles. He as seen on the stages of major theatres in the UK, USA and throughout Europe and was in the cast of dozens of productions of world premieres. He is seen here as Dr. Cajus in a BBC television production of Giuseppe Verdi's FALSTAFF in 1972. The Welsh baritone, Geraint Evans, appears in the title role with Edward Byles and David Gwynne as Bardolfo and Pistola. The English Chamber Orchestra is conducted by James Lockhart.
