Wow, that was very weird seeing the Munich train station that empty. I live train travel in Germany and of course via Munich and Garmish. Thanks for sharing Mark. Hope that the strike is over soon. 😢
We Germans take so much for granted that others envy us for. And yet we are still constantly complaining that things are not 100% perfect. Sometimes tourists and new citizens - and sometimes our own train drivers and farmers and even Nazis! - have to point out to us that nothing can be taken for granted.
LOL It is Not just Munich, Not just Bavaria, Not just Germany - that has 'Train Services' measured in tph (trains per hour). Virtually ALL countries in Europe across Russia etc to China, Korea, Japan, etc etc have Passenger Train SERVICES - measured in tph. :) It is only the USA that has a major dearth of public transit. I live in Europe and I can go anywhere in Europe by ONLY using public transport: Trains, local Trains, Light Rail, Trams, etc railways... to get from A to B. Portugal or Scotland to Singapore... is just a few changes of trains. (longest routes currently possible in distance). UK to South of Italy is the greatest distance achievable in under 24 hours. It is a Long distance Day journey.
Munich and other cities or even countries have an amazing public transport system with a lot of people keeping the system running. If some of them are on strike it can be horrible for travellers of all kind. But they don't do it for fun... Every place cars are (mostly) banned out of the city is a win if you compare with old photos or (YT) videos. Thanks for the video 🙂
i feel it’s so under appreciated here, but it’s something to be proud of. and during strikes you feel like what it’s like to live without. glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching :)

I'll take imperfect over nothing every time :)
