HI THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO, PLEASE CAN YOU MAKE ONE EXPLAINING THE CURVES GAINED FROM THE EXPERIEMENT - SUCH AS TAFEL PLOTS - WHY WE USE THEM/ WHAT THEY ARE AND WHAT THE GRAPHS MEAN IN TERMS OF CORROSION? Very good video and would love to learn more!
Thanks for your reply. But my actual doubt is : Say we are keeping 5 mins initial delay and 1hr initial delay, will the results be accurate in both cases. If Yes / No - Why it is So?
Thank you for the video, this will definitely help me with my project , may i please ask, if you have 4 samples to test, after each test, do i have to redo the cleaning, i will be using the same electrolyte sample and different metal samples. Also , the counter electrode, does it need to be changed?
Hey first of all thank you very much I'm working on similar project and I think I have something to ask you do you have any emails or how can I contact you ?
As long as it has some conductivity. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conductivity_(electrolytic)#:~:text=High%20quality%20deionized%20water%20has,electrolyte%20in%20a%20Wheatstone%20bridge.
Clearly demonstrated sir. Thank you👍
Clear demonstrations!
Hi it was very useful can you elaborate the Tafel calculation methodology followed after the studies are over, thanks
Thank you for the video. May i know how we set up the initial and final E (V)? Is it depends on material and area?

insightful, thanks for sharing
Thanks for this informative video.
What will be impact of initial delay time wrt to end results?
you have to wait until open circuit potential reaches a steady state before PD tests in order to produce reproducible results.
Thanks for your reply.

Thank you sir. Why we use potentiostate here.
THANK YOU SIR

The test itself may change pH of the electrolyte, it is better to repeat the cleaning and use new electrolyte every time.
Thank you very much for the explanation, i have a homework and i have some questions about this. Can you help me ? How can i contact you :)
i want to know the price of the instrument

Bro e test mujhe kaha milega karwanekeliye
is Tafel test destructive? Does it cause damage to the coating ?
Yes it will.
i see.. thanks..need to learn more from u
does this testing useful for measuring corrosion rate of reinforcement bar in concrete (R.Concrete member is wrapped with external FRP system)??
The electrochemical part is the same, but the sample prep and container will be quite different.
I suppose the corrosion cell/vessel was made of Teflon. was it custom made or does any company supply them?
This particular one is custom made. You may use any non-corrosive container (e.g. glass beaker/tank) for your experiments.
hatchegg that's an awesome video. can you please provide the name of the company that custom-made your cell and coupons?
They were designed by graduate student and fabricated by the machine shop at USF.
can i use a phase change material as an electrolyte to check corrosion?
As long as it has some conductivity.

what is the standard statistical analysis used in this protocol?
based on the number of repeated tests that one performs, average, standard deviation, range etc. of measured data can be calculated.
Yo you're pouring acetone down the drain wtf!
