11:58 to be honest I actually like the car because it didn't have a sunroof, To be honest, sunroof is not meant for Indian conditions and it makes the body weak on the top portion. It's a brilliant car, I would love to own one someday.

Sunroof doesn't compromise the roof's or overall build quality unless you are good at designing of a car. VOLVO, the safest brand of the world used to give the panoramic sunroof for long time now. This is skoda not a maruti so they know how to design and built their car for safety with a sunroof. This is completely a miss from skoda and they should have give sunroof in this.

Perfect car, maybe overpriced by 2-3 Lakhs, if Skoda had kept its on road price below 29 Lakhs - it would have been a no brainer.
At 32 lakhs, people start cribbing about lack of 360 degree cameras, ventilated seats and sunroof ( which no one uses but cribs about )
Octavia has always been the driver's car, and the previous gen at 25 on road looks like a steal compared to the one out now at 34 lakhs on road.
Sure inflation and the new gearbox commands a higher price, and hatchbacks are costing almost 10 lakhs, I still feel that Skoda may have missed a trcik by pricing it out of a lot of prospective buyers' list. Great review and great audio as well.
Definitely right ! Because now the price difference between octavia and superb is just 2-3 lakhs and one would spend that getting 360 camera , panaromic sunroof , ventilated seats and many more features which are missing in the octavia feels like the previous octavia was more vfm and loaded
It starts at 14 lakh ex showroom in USA and for India 26 lakhs. Blame out government for high prices 😖

Spot on. ~24 lakh on road for top end with ventilated seats manual box there is no need to look at anything else. It was very disappointing when they announced the price.

Sunroof was made for cold countries, where sun rarely is seen , so car can get heated naturally and people can get some sunlight while in car.
It's been made premium feature in India only, and people are jumping out of the moving vehicle and making videos #ithappensonlyinindia

Buy a 50 lakh Fortuner legender 4x4 and a 33 Lakh Skoda Octavia L&K. Skoda will feel much premium, fast and sexy to own over a Fortuner if offroading not needed.

Whenever reviewing sedans please give few seconds about ground clearance. Seems no reviewer on youtube talks about them and one of the primary reasons why people in our country are preferring SUVs over Sedans
Because it's the characteristic of Sedan. They can't have excessive ground clearance. Just like how SUVs with ladder frame Chassis generally has massive body roll which is their characteristic as a ladder frame SUV.
@@deerghayuphukan1215 we have sedans ranging from Honda City to BMW 5 series. Do they all come with same ground clearance or same suspension settings. Obviously sedans can't compete to SUVs in terms of ground clearance but they should atleast be practical enough for Indian roads.

Skoda just invested 8000cr in India they don’t have any plans to leave India afaik
In 2021 skoda has sold more than 22000 vehicles. This year they are targeting 70000 vehicles. Kushaq has been a game changer for the brand. Kodiaq has been launched already in the market and the good thing about this is it is sold out in just one day for next 4 months. Slavia is making it's way to the Indian market and launch is planned in first quarter of the year. They have invested 8000 crore in India. Skoda auto Volkswagen India limited has developed a new platform for Indian market. So don't worry. They are not going anywhere. Ford has underestimated the potential of Indian market and paid the price. That's not the case for Volkswagen Group.

Sun roof is redundant for most people in a tropical and dusty country like India except for those who frequently tour hill stations. Remember sunroof makes the car expensive by almost a lakh.

Most of the car manufacturers in international market are removing sunroof because if the car met with an accident and it rolls over then can be dangerous maybe any sharp object could come in or the rear passenger without seat belt could get in between the sunroof and also it weaks up the roof

There are two types of people
Type 1 : Bhai konsi gadi jada chlri h aaj kal. Kiski resale jada hai. Wo fancy wale features kon kon se mil jayenge, bhai jab main apni bandi ko bithaunga to sunroof dekh ke khush ho jayegi.
These type generally go for Hyundai, Kia, Maruti.
Type 2: Bhai kya chalra hai chhod, safety rating kitni hai, engine konsa hai, Bhai test drive karwao muje handling aur braking chk krni hai.
