This movie is getting mixed reviews but I could literally watch Olivia Colman cook breakfast and break down into tears
Not Sure Why the Mixed..... ..😓😕😔😔😔🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁
This Film (Along with her Equally Gorgeous JoyRide) are Two of 2022's *BEST*
@@drumbum3.142 Since seeing this film I can say I don't LOVE it but I certainly enjoyed it and especially loved her performance. I think it's a better film than at least half of the best picture nominees lol
Great movie Olivia is a lovely woman..

JoyRide of Hers is also EXQUISITE.
Empire of Light looks like an amazing movie and the cast looks 10/10.
Agreed, I can't wait to watch it!
It is amazing. You should see it if you can. ☺️
I just got out of the advanced screening of this film & it was ok. It’s a little disjointed but there are wonderful, touching moments between Michael & Olivia’s characters. Wish there were more character development of them two. Olivia was, as always, fantastic. Micro movements of her face can make me sob for her character. This is no exception.
Eff the reviews. This movie is wonderful. Stunning cinematography, great acting, humane and poetic.Saw Mendes’ Revolutionary Road again this week and that’s another chef d’oeuvre. Kudos to a master and his brilliant team. 👌🏻
I really agree, re the reviews. I just think these reviewers watch with their heads and not their hearts!!!
This movie just blew me away in so many ways. Loved it
Despite the film getting mixed reviews, it's awesome to see the majority of them praising Olivia for her performance. Most are even saying it's worthy of another Oscar nomination. I'm down for that. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'll definitely see it for Olivia. She's become my top favorite actress.
How is it possible for Olivia Colman to be this adorable? Let her talk about pigeons!!
I really loved this movie and I love seeing their humor here. There were quite a few moments in the movie where I chuckled. Even though it tugs at your heart with real, traumatic moments. It was put together so well.
I'll watch anything with Oscar Winner Olivia Colman, she's always radiant! 🥰
Such an amazing actress
This will help Michael get better. Olivia is A+
I saw this film today and really loved it and I could easily watch it again. In the clip where Stephen comments that the derelict room is still beautiful and Hilary looks at him, she and the audience get to see that Stephen can appreciate qualities that perhaps others can't see. This is a key reason why he is drawn to Hilary. It's just a beautiful film and I don't relate to the negative comments in some reviews at all!
Olivia Coleman is just the greatest person!
I have no idea what the story is but I can definitely feel that a story is being told to me through the performance, cinematography and camerawork.
Just rewatched the favourite again and now stumbling on this! She’s a gem
I just watched this. It’s a beautiful film. And the performances are stellar.
Just saw this film and I thought it was great.
Good to see Michael being consistent.
I just saw EMPIRE OF LIGHT tonight and found it very moving. There were ironic moments, intense exchanges and attention to detail.
Along with Olivia's JoyRide, One of 2022's BEST..
2022 favorite film. Where The Crawdads Sing and Triangle Of Sadness also excellent. Kudos to all involved. This is what cinema is supposed to be.
Triangle of Sadness was great.
Touching film man
This was really beautiful movie about the the reality of life. Sometimes over dramatic with the pigeons and so. But deeply moving in other places. About how much can people help each other out.
❤️ olivia imitating the pigeon lol
Fun fact: the room you walk into when the pigeons are flying used to be a children's play area called Coco's.
Oddly the same name as the pigeon you named.
in my top ten movies of all time and im nearly 60!
*Can I talk about pigeons?* And then she impersonates the piegeon! I freakfing love Olivia Colman :)
She’s so funny and charming!
I went to see this film yesterday knowing nothing about it. Olivia was fantastic as she always is and I fell in love with Michael. Go see it is what I say. Parts were a little disturbing but it shows how it was in the 80's. All in all I loved the film and all if the characters. Thankyou Sam Mendes for creating such a lovely film.
This Film and Her JoyRide are Two of 2022's *BEST*

This looks great!
I rode my scooter in this film
Hi
I thought the film was great ❤
#VanityFair Magnifcent movie
👍👍
there is an empire of light, it is universal. the people walking in darkness have seen a great light on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned, isaiah 9 v 2, in him was life and that life was the light of men, the light shines in the darkness but the darkness has not understood it, john 1 v 3 i am the light of the world who ever follows me will not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life john 8 v 12 jesus is the light
The sense one gets is this movie was made to act as an awards magnet...serious, proper movie awards.
Yeah, let's give the top female thespian the lead, chuck in an interracial love relationship (btw, these 2 had no chemistry at all), make it artsy fartsy & voilà! Just wait for the awards to roll in!
3rd WOW 👍
Just love Michael Ward 😍
I love the beautiful friendship between the actors and director/film maker
