- QUICK VIEW OF THIS VIDEO:
In this EPIC series, we uncover the step-by-step process of creating a BACKYARD OASIS by constructing your very own CONCRETE FIRE PIT & OUTDOOR SEATING AREA. We also show you how to INSTALL A SHADE CLOTH and as a BONUS...how to INSTALL SOLAR LIGHTS! SUBSCRIBE NOW so you don't miss out on any of the action!
We kick off this journey with DEMO-DAY by ripping out the existing tiles and concrete slab, and then move onto laying the concrete foundation. Once fully cured, we start installing the outdoor concrete seating area and a stylish brick fire pit idea that's been extended like a fire pit table to cater for snacks and drinks.
The shade cloth goes in without a hitch and is installed using a wooden post that is fixed in place using a concrete base and secured into the adjacent walls using stainless steel brackets and attached using hooks, chains and turnbuckles! If ever you wanted an easy DIY guide, this is it!
Catch the SOLAR LIGHT INSTALLATION which avoids the hassle of running electrical cable but still adds a beautiful finish to any space as lights come in a variety of styles, sizes and brightness (or Lumens as its called).
Make sure to LIKE & SUBSCRIBE to catch every step of the process and for more outdoor DIY projects. Share the content if it helped you or can help someone else, and make sure to add comments so we know what you enjoyed, or what we could improve!

What was the total cost of the build?
With cider blocks and concrete poles you would save half the material and it would be cheaper
Hi Catherine, that sounds like an awesome idea. Have you tried it already? And is the cost saving worldwide? Please share one of the projects you've done so we can all learn something new. Thanks
