First off , I have loved you for a while NOW , BUT, your comment about no old people at your Carnegie Hall show was Very SAD, as a Old person 56yo. Lets TRY to remember you have all your Rights and freedom cause of the old people that had to FIGHT for them ...Girl!!!!!!!! makes me want to unfollow U and your talent... I'd say she probably said that because her lyrics don't resonate with a lot of older people - explicit mentioning of sex and cursing, etc. My grandma (92) would for sure HATE her songs if she understood English.
Also 56 isn't even old! I just listened to the audio book of Maya Angelou called "Letters to my daughter" yesterday and she specifically said she was against cursing in any art form and thought it was naughty and plain wrong. Therefore I can understand Reneé not wanting an audience who from the jump disapproves of her in that sense.
