Moving to the Quads from San Diego last year was the best choice I could have made. I enjoyed these vids before I moved but now the things you’re saying make so much more sense cause I experience it too! This channel is truly a great resource for anyone considering moving here or here already
My family is considering moving to Iowa. How is Davenport as far as insect pests (mosquitos etc.), storms/tornadoes, and flood risks? I want to live somewhere that is unlikely to flood.
We definitely have mosquitos. Storms do happen but I've lived here my whole life and have never seen a tornado, there is flood risk her but it is very dependent on which home you decide to live in. Most homes here are not in flood zones.
Davenport floods like crazy every year. Rock island has a nice temporary flood wall. So our river front doesn't get destroyed and we don't worry about traffic having to be redirected all over the place. When downtown davenport gets flooded it becomes a mess for business owners downtown, people who live downtown and people who have to cross to work in davenport from il because they have to redirect traffic around it the flood zone. Flooding also tends to happen during the high summer construction months. So if you dont know davenport well, its really tricky getting around. When it floods, many times they have to cancel or postpone events because their riverfront gets flooded bad! They have at least started putting up flood walls around the baseball stadium so you can still enjoy a ballgame. But you have to park a few blocks away to walk around the flood to get there. Lol flooding in the last few years has become a yearly tradition. Lol
Been here a long time never seen any tornados in the metro area. Now out by Parkview that's a bit different. For some reason because the river here runs east to west makes a difference.
Good pm sir watching here in California

Thanks for the support my man!
Make friends with a farmer lol, also there’s a lot of shooting rages in the close smaller towns too.
Are there rural communities that are close to the quad cities? And how’s the crime rate?
Well you answered later in the video.
I'm glad I could answer your question 😀
