finished my 120 smithing grind on the iron last week and I had 400 hards and 300 elites from prosper. Was going to do them all before heading into the next skill and suddenly they release this beauty of an update.
A very smart man named Autumnelegy said something pretty smart almost a decade ago about skilling efficiency. "The most efficient way to skill is to wait for updates to make it faster or easier.". Even at the lowest level of content in the game this still holds true.

I started a new iron about 1,5 weeks ago on rs3 as a mostly osrs player. I recently did the woodcutting for new foundations and I feel like I've timed my entire journy at the worst possible time hahahaha

Can i ask an honest question protoxx? does this game even have more then a year or 2 left? ive been looking at the player numbers in rs3, and it is reaching critically low levels. like it dips below 10k at night, and even though i havent played rs3 in a year and 1/2 i looked at all the updates between then and now, and somehow it seems like less content then the game used to get in singular patchs from the eras of 2015 and beforehand. It actually feels like its only a few months from being shutdown, or from jagex having to do a restructuring and firing prob half of the 83 jmods that work on rs3.
And don't forget new th promotion adding new walk animations! Instead of one sentence highlighting the recent survey they should have postponed the th promotion to show they are listening. But alas the damage is done.

I really want to play this game again, but I can’t see myself starting from scratch in 2025, with so many other games to play and the demands of adult life. A good solution for Jagex to make more money without exploiting players' wallets with stupid ideas like "membership with ads" would be to give a maxed account to every new player, allowing the quests to serve as the game's big tutorial. This would bring many old players back to the game, as well as new ones, because no one likes leveling up an account from scratch (especially old players who have already done it several times over the past 20 years). Runescape is an old game with complicated mechanics that take a lot of time to learn. Reducing this pressure on players would be healthier and help retain players for longer without them getting bored. It might seem like a drastic change, but we’re talking about Runescape. We went from Old School Runescape>RS3>membership with ads; this game can easily handle making another tough decision like this.
You do this everytime, but when the community is on strike and canceling membership, it puts you in a really negative light that your covering updates. I get you need to eat but you have a job you don’t need scraps anymore.

You do this everytime, but when the community is on strike and canceling membership, it puts you in a really negative light that your covering updates. I get you need to eat but you have a job you don’t need scraps anymore.
Protoxx I notice that I been getting more and more 200/450 key offer then before. Normally it only shows once every 4-6 months. Guess it a way to recover the loss they suffer to make higher up not as mad or investor.
