Emmy is just too cute! I bought one of the Herschnerrs books, the one with the Durene Jones snowman on the cover. I think a stitch-a-long from those books is a great idea! 1, 2
So glad your parents fared well through the storms. Resting Stitch face is my regular look. So be it. A stitcher must stitch. Great idea for the spider votive. Have a great stitchy week! ♥️🪡🧵✂️❤️
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your videos. You look right in the camera so it makes it seem you are right in my room talking to me. Keep up the good work and tutorials.
1. LOVE that spider finish, & certainly wouldn’t have come up with that on my own! 2. So glad your mom & dad are safe & didn’t have too much damage! Thanks for more inspiration, Helen!! ❤️🧵🪡
The fact that you picked the fabric before even seeing the called for was fabulous! Also, my father and I always hid candy from each other so that made me smile. Also pleased your parents are well in FL. Also love the dragonflies on the Cardinal Points. Both 1 and 2 are fantastic! ✨ see you next video.
Helen, such an awesome variety of patterns and finishing shared on the podcast…hope you son has a great 13th year…glad your parents are safe, your aunt too…loved the boo basket…wish I had kept one of my children’s…stay safe, best wishes and happy stitching❤
Thank you for the video it is so good that your parents are safe. I love your long dog samplers and all the work you have done. It is a joy to get a video a number 1 treat.
Just found your channel, I live in Florida as well. But we are on the East coast. We are straight across from where the hurricane hit. We lost power for 17 hours. No damage to our house. So glad I found your videos. I will be back
Hi Helen. Your projects are so lovely and you finish like an expert . Your podcasts are very enjoyable too ! Glad to hear that your folks are safe ! Take care.
Aww, so cute watching the little kitten sipping away. There, I did it. I just ordered the two books. Yay! Cardinal Points is looking fabulous. Well worth the ironing. 😊Happy belated Birthday to your teenage son.
Oh my goodness, Helen, I'm a first time viewer and now subscriber. Your FlossTube is just wonderful and so chock full of fun and info. I absolutely love your Cardinal Points stitch. I'll be going back through your videos to see all that I missed! #1
Glad to hear your parents are ok. Love the Autumn Lane finish! So cute! Emma is a hoot! I tried something similar with one of our cats who liked drinking out of my mug…didn’t work. She knew it wasn’t mine and she wanted MY water. Lol!
Your mom's comment "now I know why you are so worried" reminded me of Hurricane Sandy hitting my hometown of Staten Island NY- many family members up there had no idea of how bad it was because of the loss of power. I'm glad your parents are safe and made it thru. We had some of it here in North Carolina and lost power for about 18 hours-lots of rain and trees/branches down- so hard to stitch in the dark :( #1 or #2-both are cute!
Your HOD cookie sal finish is so cute. Love the colours. The spider finish is a great idea! Fantastic progress on Cardinal Points! Not long to go too. Can't wait for you to finish it. 1, 2 Stay safe Helen 💕
I live in south Fort Myers and had little damage to my property. Many of my neighbors lost trees and pool cage screens. We were fortunate. The devastation for Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel/Captiva will take years to repair. Glad your folks are safe, they of not that far from us. Tonight I got internet back and so glad I found you again. Love your channel. 1
Hi Karen! I'm so glad to hear that you had minimal damage from the hurricane. I spoke with my mom tonight. They're still cleaning up in her park, but almost everyone has power back on now.
Glad to hear your parents are okay, and their house survived. Scary times! Loved the Halloween finishes! Another great video. Loved the finish with the tea light. I never would have thought of using something like that. You definitely push the "standard finishing box" out of shape! 1, 2. Judy
Hi Helen! I'm not an avid commenter, but I am an avid watcher. Been watching you a very long time, watch all your videos. I must tell you that your pillows are absolutely the best! Your pillows always look perfect! Also your pillow squares (cubes?) are fantastic! Continue the great work. Thanks for the opportunity for #1. 😊
Great video Helen, thanks so much for all your sharing. I thought your smalls exchange with the other floss tubers was really fun -- seeing what everyone made and shipped out to one another has been a lot of fun! Glad your parents were safe!
Helen, you are an EXPERT finisher and your Halloween things look so nice in the background. Love those smalls from Little House Needleworks… I just may have to add them to the collection! 😉 Thanks for a new video today!
Thank you Jennifer! I actually filmed a little show and tell of the Halloween things in the background, but forgot to mention it. I guess it's now ready for next video! :)
Hey there Helen! I immediately paused the video when you showed the spider tea candle holders and started looking around my house for my tea candle holder! Such an awesome idea. You're the best! I did the cording. I just need to attach it. Thanks again for doing both of those videos. Have a great week!
Emmy drinking water is so cute! I'm so glad your parents are OK. I hate Chicago winters, but it beats hurricane season any day. Cardinal Points is beautiful. I plan on starting Flying Lesson this weekend. I too love the fabric, and the pattern. Your drum is beautiful!

A stitch along out of the two Christmas books sounds like a wonderful idea!! I have both books now, too. I love the little elves in the Festive Favorites book. I think I’ll do those for the grandkids this year. Your stitching is fantastic! Love your linen and floss combinations! 1
So glad your parents made it through Ian, fairly unscathed. I evacuated with my son, but fortunately it passed us by. Holy cannoli lady, Cardinal Points progress.....AMAZING! 💜💜
Your Cardinal Points is absolutely beautiful. I have that chart in my stash, maybe a new start. Thanks for sharing your stitching with us. Happy to hear your parents are ok.

Emmy looks very happy with her water glass. Cute finishes. Glad that your parents are safe. That storm looked so scary. I've been resisting those resting face patterns, but I think I need the Stitch and the Beach ones. 2 Those finishing pieces look like even I could do it, I'll have to check out the shop. Thanks.
Happy to hear that your parents are doing well in Florida, I heard from my sister and she is also doing well. Thankful. Your Cardinal Points is awsome, so beatuiful. Thank you for the Starry Nights referral, great place to have a look-see and it may break the bank for me, LOL!! #1 please. Sending many warm hugs from sunny Arizona.
Hi! I’m always excited to see your finishes and what your working on, I need to find the cardinals chart it’s so pretty! However that little spider you made with a votive holder of all things is so adorable! I just love it! What a cool idea yo7 came up with! #1 you are definitely one of my favs to watch as im always a little sad when you come to the end. So glad your parents are ok. Take care!
Thank you so much Shawn! I saw a designer do a similar finish in a limited edition kit years ago. I don't know if they used a votive holder, but they work perfectly!
Your stitching is so beautiful. The project started in 2020 is absolutely stunning! That is an heirloom piece for sure. The Halloween swap is so fun. That spider you found is so dang cute, I’m going to have to get some of them. The drum you received in the swap is amazing. What a fantastic happy mail. Thanks for you videos and your tutorials, I always learn so much from you. 1-2
I had to pause and go and order those reindeer tea lights. What a great idea. Love your Cardinal Points which is coming along so nicely. Have a great couple of weeks stitching.
I love your Autumn Lane and HoD finishes! And your finishing, as usual. Look forward to seeing what you get into (and if you get any haul before the retreat). Take care.
So glad your parents are OK and their home is not damage too much. Your cat looks so cute drinking out of the cup. The Cardinal Point is very pretty. Would love to do it and the hanger for petites pictures will fit the cute hangers. Stay safe. Walk in Peace. Love your video. 1 2.
Oh my goodness so much fun! I’m such a slow stitcher….and lack stitching time. I got my cording tool, and I have a finish I want to use cording on…excited to try it!! 1 or 2 are super cute! Thanks! 💙
I always love looking at your FFOs. They are always very cute and beautiful! Glad your family was safe during Ian. I am smack almost in the middle of central Florida. I got a lot of rain and winds. Nothing special. I like both 1 and 2.
Hi Helen You just gotta luv Emmy :) I hope she enjoyed her own glass of water :) Cardinal Points is so beautiful. Love that one. I also really like your Turkey one. The colors are great. Big wedding in a couple more days ! ! Then hopefully I'll have time for more stitching. 1

1,2. I really enjoyed your stitching and the haul. I have started stitching on more aida, really enjoying being able to see the holes. I have already done the linen high count and eyes aren't happy with that any more. Your finishes are so pretty and expert looking. Thank you for such a great video
I love seeing all of your finishes. I had to remit my cardinal points as I didn’t like the way it was turning out. Seeing yours makes me want to restart mine! Happy stitching!
I love to watch your cat drinking water! I recently stitched "Be Ye Thankful" by Brenda Gervais and loved stitching it. I need to go pick out some fabric for the pillow as I don't have stash autumn fabrics. 1 2
Hey Helen Absolutely loving ‘Cardinal Points’ stitching. The colors that are used make me smile. I was so used to stitching only prim colors that anything whimsical and colorful just make my day. I’ve been going through the Christmas books from Herrschnerrs and it looks like my Prairie School Santa’s are going to take a back seat again as there are some really cute pieces I want to start. Maybe I can squeeze a few minutes for them every now and then lol. 1 2 Thanks for this video….it’s chock full of Halloween yumminess!🥰
You know, if they do come out with the Boo Buckets again you'll need to get Mr. D one also since he missed out on them the first time around. 😆 Your Cardinal Points is looking so good. I have it, too, but I bought mine as a kit. Those little wooden finishing tags have me thinking. I might see if any of the Pineberry smalls will fit on them as well. Thanks, Helen, for all of the finishing tutorials. Glad to hear that your parents are safe.
I'm going to get him one, but he probably won't be impressed. 😉 The tags are very well made and I love that three quarters of the finishing work is already done for me!

Hi Helen! Glad your parents are ok. Love the colors on your 31st block and Cardinal Points! Your spider finish for Michelle was adorable, and the drum Olivia made you was just beautiful. Have a great couple of weeks!
Your heart must be full of gratitude for the safety of your parents. I love the stitching that yu share with us as it really inspires me to get things finished and then finally finished. #1
So glad to hear parents are doing well. My cats are the same way. I have a big bowl in kitchen for them. Well, I was in the shower one day and Prissy loves to get in the shower with me, I know, she's weird. Lol. I keep a fastfood lg. cup to rinse out the tub. Well, she kept looking in it for water! So I fill it up now. They are happy now. The long dog sampler is just beautiful ❤️❤️❤️.. very nice video👍👍👍👍. So many new things.....
Love your swap finishes especially the tea light (so cute!). Viewed your cording tutorial a few times and did my first cording ... turned out pretty good for a first attempt .. tx again !!

Rosie looks just like your kitty and she has her own cup for water. She prefers her water that way. Good to hear that your parents are safe. I absolutely love your finish. 1
@@helend.flosstube My mother’s cat demanded to drink from the laundry room faucet for 17 years before she passed away of old age. It might be a beginning of a lifelong demand. Lol

Just got back from a very long camping trip (7 weeks off the grid) so I have a lot of catching up to do on your video's, which I missed being able to watch. So glad your parents are fine and it had to be very stressful! Number 1
Wow! Seven weeks off the grid! That sounds like it must have been quite the adventure!
I can’t get enough tutorials, thanks for doing them. #1 & 2. As always, I look forward to your next video.
I'll keep the tutorials coming!
Love seeing your progress on Cardinal Points, I love the colours. I can't wait to see the tutorial on finishing in the tea light holder
Hi Helen! Glad your parents are ok. Love the colors on your 31st block and Cardinal Points! Your spider finish for Michelle was adorable, and the drum Olivia made you was just beautiful. Have a great couple of weeks!
Thank you Maureen! The drum is even prettier in person!
Your cardinal points is beautiful. You are so close to a finish. Thanks for sharing. 1 or 2
Seeing it all opened up was definite motivation to keep stitching away!
Wow the spider finish was so smart!!
Can’t wait to see the 31st finished.

I hope I have time to finish it before Halloween!
Thanks for sharing I always enjoy your videos! So glad your folks are fine in Florida.
Thank you Carla!
Glad to hear your parents are ok! After this video, I NEED some of those project charts to add to my ever-growing "want-to-do list" :) 1 , 2,
My list looks like a CVS receipt! 🤣
@@helend.flosstube - HA!! Mine too
Your heart must be full of gratitude for the safety of your parents. I love the stitching that yu share with us as it really inspires me to get things finished and then finally finished. #1
I started a small Christmas one today. I’ve got 4 more littles kitted up…including your blueberries and black bears! 1
I'm starting to get in the mood for some Christmas stitching. 😉
Oh, cats!! Emmy likes to drink out of the shower too, but not while it's running! 🤣
Love your swap finishes especially the tea light (so cute!). Viewed your cording tutorial a few times and did my first cording ... turned out pretty good for a first attempt .. tx again !!
Yeah!! You'll be hooked on cording in no time!
I'm so glad your parents are ok. It was frightening. I know you are relieved after talking with them. Great ideas for fall and Halloween. I wouldn't have thought of using the spider candle holders ...it is a great idea. I love the cardinals point. It is beautiful.
Thank you Carolyn!
Rosie looks just like your kitty and she has her own cup for water. She prefers her water that way. Good to hear that your parents are safe. I absolutely love your finish. 1
Emmy is also now demanding drinks from the faucet when I go in to use the bathroom. :)
@@helend.flosstube My mother’s cat demanded to drink from the laundry room faucet for 17 years before she passed away of old age. It might be a beginning of a lifelong demand. Lol
I enjoy seeing everything you stitch. We have similar tastes. So glad to hear that your parents are safe! I'm a worrier too so I get it. 1
It's hard being a worrier!
You are always a joy to watch, thanks for another great flosstube!
Thank you so much!
Hi Helen! You are so creative! Love the spider 🕷 Happy to hear your parents made out ok with the hurricane 🌀 2 Have a fabulous weekend 🎃❤️
Enjoyed your flosstube seeing all the finishes and wips. I like 1 and 2.
Thank you Fran!
The Cardinal Points is a stunner. I love seeing your progress on that piece. So clever popping little stitches in the spider votives
Thank you Ann!
Good call on the extra glass of water. ;)
Glad your parents are safe. I have family in Orlando area so it was a stressful time.
It certainly was stressful!
A great video as always Helen! Love all your finishes and stitching ♥️
Your cat drinking out of the cup cracks me up! 😂 My cats will do that if I let them. Your cardinal points and Halloween words finish are so pretty. Thank you for sharing your work. 2 Resting stitch face is too funny.
Emmy is a very spoiled kitty!
Spider candle holders...what a great idea. Glad your parents are okay. My husband went through hurricane Andrew when he lived in Homestead. Looking forward to the candle holder tutorial.
Thank you Angie!
Love the progress on Cardinal Points! So gorgeous. 1 & 2 !
Oh my, do I ever love the spider candlestick tea light finish!! Looking forward to your tutorial. I'm glad your folks weathered the storm, sounded scary. 1 The drum you received from the exchange is adorable 😍!
It was scary! It's hard to know that someone you love is in danger and there's nothing you can do about it.
Hi Helen nice to see you again ! always enjoy seeing your work...1,2 till next time.
Thank you Mary!
Cardinal Points is fantastic. Beautiful colours.
Your Cardinal Points stitching looks beautiful and I can't wait to see how you finish the pattern off! Also the spider is going to be interesting to watch from beginning to end. 2
Thank you Lucinda!
Great video as usual Helen! So happy that your parents fared well during the hurricane. #1 please
