Maybe throw Kool G Rap in there. Ghostface and Andre 3000. Kendrick is a good story teller too, but lacks a good slow flow like the others I mentioned for this type of vibe.
The Lost Tapes is Nas best album after illmatic. I've actually listened to the lost tapes more times in the last ten years than all other albums combined. It presents the best version of Nas. No marquee producers, no guest verses, no attempts at radio play, only the best storytelling. Unbelievably slept on. He'll never top the lost tapes.
