When the building complex is complete, it will also feature several museums, residential spaces, offices,VA cinema, a heritage center, a 280-room boutique hotel with an infinity pool and spa facilities overlooking the river. As of today, how far is the building complex from being complete??? Interestingly, Shanghai's "Hanging Gardens of Babylon" was indeed designed by a British firm, Heatherwick Studio. The firm had also been behind Google's London King's Cross headquarters, its new California campus, and the floating public park in New York that was opened in May 2021. It is not clear how a British firm -- instead of a Chinese firm -- won the contract. Apparently, the Chinese side was satisfied with Heatherwick Studio's idea of creating two forest-capped mountains along the Suzhou Creek.
